I replaced my Miller Maxstar 150STL with a Fronius Transpocket which necessitated modifying my vertical receiver mount.

I also bent up a new tray so that it can sit on a welding cart when I need access to an argon bottle for Tig.

The best way is keep simple.
    It will cost down too.
I do not you what type work you do. I like boom type is best with electric lift if will give over 40 foot rich a 15 foot mig will give a 60 foot rich or more.

Since discovering the thread started by Rustyshackleford (Brett) I have been working with John from Texas Metal Works on a custom table with some unique features.

I’m usually the type to build things myself but in this case.....My cost for locally laser cutting the pieces alone would have been considerably more than my entire purchase price having John build it.

It has been a several month process incorporating my ideas into a buildable product from a manufacturing standpoint and John has been very patient with me. Hopefully my input will result in future welding table options/upgrades available from Texas Metal Works.

Here are a few random photos taken during construction. The table size without extensions is 40” x 80” with a 1/4” table top braced from the underside to achieve and maintain flatness.

A photo of underside. Note the 2inch square holes at each corner of the table. These line up with the oversized 3” square tube legs I specified to accommodate the 2.5” receiver tubing for four vertical receivers.

Bolt on plates with custom slots to accommodate vertical receivers ...

Heavy 11 gauge center mounted drawer with industrial slides ...

    To be continued.......

I thought I would post this pic showing how easy it is to keep table legs vertical for welding

The setup isn't Instagram perfect. Just a "wham bam thank you ma'am" that gets the job done.

    Re: Welding Fixture Table

    Love it, Terry.

I find the same... so easy to keep things straight and plumb when you have two reference flat surfaces to clamp things to (table and a big square or two). It's then far easier to true the 3rd dimension after that.

I know folk have managed and some have worked all their lives without decent flat tables and manage to produce very accurate work. But I am not one of those people....

The best to use is E71T-1 with CO2.
Using E7018 or E71T-11 both are good too.
Even use E71T-GS, E6011, E6012 and E6013 does good job too.

Just a photo to show how nicely the table top cleans up when sprayed occasionally with WD40 and an oily rag.

    Also spatter free.
