    what machine are you using? We don't know what parameters you have set up on the machine or even available. I'm wondering if you have the machine inadvertently set for a/c on one of the adjustments and the balance is upset. Is the machine new or new to you? Can you verify the gas flow at the torch? Is your shielding gas 100% argon?

    Yep, crushed Chinese soft copper collet. Check it. In fact pull the front end off and see if your back cap is chocking off the gas hole.

    Also when I was beta testing the Alpha Tig I burned up a couple of power cables. The lugs got loose and cause not only the wires to get hot but the rubber was outgassing fumes causing fouling of the weld and electrode.

    I need help choosing a good torch, cable, etc.. that will fit my welder. Something that you can put one of those clear pyrex cups on
