Air tank build for cleaning chainsaw oil/fuel caps

It's been a pretty good saw light enough you can use it all day and big enough it'll eat wood about as fast as you want(well is it ever fast enough?) I gotta say though... my next one will be one of the 462's like the boss has a few of... lots more power and none of the weight

Too small never work in the real world get a simple hand sized bristle brush.... will serve multiple functions when doing logging ops. If you get one like this with the loop handle it will easily lanyard right next to your wedge holster or where ever you want to hang it


Plus they come in nice bright colors so when you do happen to drop it you can actually find it laying in the brush(pun intended)

I don't wanna clean the truck!!!!!!!! I just wanna get the crud around the oil, and gas, caps Flux brushes are pretty stiff anyways. And ya look like a surgeon when ya put on yer latex gloves, the little mirror thingy on your head, and swipe away..................Pure professional Besides, I always have a ton of those things laying around......use them on the lathe, and mill, for oiling parts.

The guys I talked to said they're the same weight more or less... just the 362 eats less fuel and has less power(even modded)... that's why we got some of the 462's talked to a tree guy a few months ago that was doing beta testing on the 3's and 4's he also was going to stick with the 4's for his guys but he was also having all his 4's modded like most guys do with em'

LOL!!!!! I know how 'stiff' those brushes are I happen to keep at least 6 dozen cases of them in one of the shops for my business and they work great!!! but not for cleaning around the gas cap and yes I have a few strewn around the lathes and other machines for various reasons with round magnets holding them upside down

Probably... we have the stihl ultra light bars but already having issues with them burning out it is light though a 30 inch bar and just about balances

I think they just use the absolute lightest bearings in the tips or something...??? they have an aluminum or some other lightweight core in the bar I don't think I have a pic handy or I'd post it up, the mechanic at one of the dealers was showing me a few bars that were bent up pretty bad and splitting apart!

Here's a pic of one of the first bad ones.. I think this one has been replaced a month or two ago..

One thing I have learned from reading this site for the last 10 years or so, is a healthy respect for pressure vessels.

I kinda like the small brush option. And, if you insist on compressed air, carry a can of air for blowing off computers. After a quick brushing, the little that remains will be a perfect job for a can of air. Just to add, I've never seen anyone do more than wipe the area with their glove. But I know what you mean, and I think the brush will be fine.

Perhaps a metal valve stem with a shrader valve can be added for free refills. Just keep the psi under safe parameters. Moto. Have you ever watched the compressed air bomb videos. People die, it’s no joke. I’m thinking it’s only a matter of time before some local snowflake catches on to you and reports you to CPS. Not me, but still I’m just saying, don’t or won’t be able to say nobody suggested against things like this when the hammer drops. Keep it safe.

Your comparing a tank that can rust out because it’s steel and there’s lots of water inside a compressor tank a lot of times. This won’t corrode away like steel. And I dout will fatigue from 125 psi.

Heck make a couple of dozen of them tanks and you can sell them to professional saw men.
Really i don't see the need wipe the cap with you have fill the saw and get back to work.

You know what a pony bottle is in SCUBA diving?
It’s small but filled to 3000psi. You can fit an air hose on it with a regulator and have way more air than that cylinder at 125psi.

I’ll put a mic on the tube and see if it even grows .001 with 150 psi after I weld it. Probably won’t even move .0001
