    Show your rig.

Here's my 2018 Ram, 84" cab to axle, 4x4 diesel. I made the bed, kinda like a pipe liner but I'm not. Miller pipe pro 400 w/ Cat. Also behind welder is a Ingersoll Rand T30 air compressor. Name: IMG_1240 2.jpg

I'm always amazed by the completely different types of welding rigs depending on where the owner is located. In Alberta you don't see that style of rigs.

With a bit of weight traction improve dramatically. I had a 19,500 pound F550, so long as I didnt stop completely I wouldnt get stuck. I had a hard time getting moving on asphalt if it was stopped in its own shadow though.

Hat is off to you mobile guys. I don't want to leave my shop. Welding something just outside of the doors that doesn't fit inside is about it and I don't like doing that. I'm old, a little crabby but I earned the right.

And this one is looking for a new home. Not really a welding rig,it was my heavy equipment truck for 20 years. Hasn't left the yard for a year and a half. DOT and insurance costs haven't helped. Name: 20210129_133546.jpg

Your rig is clean, and utility tight . . . The next time you buy tires . . .
    inject some identity . . . [without signage] . . .

The Olympic Rings: are blue, yellow, black, green and red . . .

Your truck, is a Secondary Blue - its' compliment is Solid Orange -

The next time you buy tires - powder coat your wheels orange - and
throw a little [same color] paint throughout your back racks & boxes.

Your peers may point a finger - but your clients [from 100 yrds.] can
    say - 'that's the guy that does my work' . . . and he's on the job . . .

Im gonna be honest with you, Ive never needed it I never been stuck with it and Ive been through a lot of mud and a lot of snow with it, up over mountains evry day in any weather God decides to throw my way, never missed a day yet for snow or ice. I will say i dont like it on ice at all but it still goes up over the mountains in it and Im sayin prayers and settin on needles the whole way up and the whole way down. Tose Mud Claw tires help a lot, they wear fast tho I go through a set on the dualies evry 13 months or so.

And if they send me somewhere into a mess where i figure it aint gonna go then I dont go there, I figure if I need 4 wheel drive they can accomadate me a little bit better, that has only happened twice once because they got a dozer stuck ther 2 days before and it was still as muddy as it was 2 days ago and the other time it was for a drill setup that looked like a damn field of boulders...I told em I liked my kidneys where God put them

That would be a good question but one might be surprised what a (loaded) 1-5 ton single axle truck with good mud tires can pull its way through.

Oh and of course it goes without saying... “with a competent driver”

There is a coal vein I worked in years ago was called the Skidmore...the North Dip and the South Dip...9 men were killed in the South Dip 1 Mar 77 when the water from an old breast blew the floor of the gangway, one lad was trapped for 5 days

Looks like you got your work cut out for you with tranmission

Skidmore Texas living is probably comparable to being trapped in a coal mine. Lol seriously though that is an unfortunate event.

Yeah that’s a brand dam New transmission too. Well New guts in an old case anyway. Not many miles on it at all maybe 1000-1500. I’m pretty pissed about it. I should have built it myself. I should have built it this time too but I decided to drop it with another transmission shop in San Antonio Texas to fix it while I continue working.

That F800 has been a really good truck, double frame from front to back, it originally was a Union Pacific rail welding truck with a Miller Airpack welder on it. It's not often you see an F800 with an 18,000 lb. front axle.

That winch is handy as a pocket on a shirt, a couple of snatch blocks and you can position about anything where you want it, that crane is only good for 500 lbs. at full reach but it helps. I extended the winch controller cable to 50 feet to make it a bit more useful.

One of the best units made. Ive had two of them. Great on fuel, could run a grinder at idle and lights while your welding. Miller legend AEAD200 LE.

Had one on a trailer that was stolen back years ago.

Then another in a truck that was also stolen years ago

I've seen similar gear failures in Roadranger truck trans rebuilds where the rebuilder used "aftermarket" parts that didn't last long. Threatening them with a lawsuit kind of cleaned that up.

Nope, no big Detroit in there, just a little 6.5 turbo "powerless" chevy diesel. It's not fast, but it's been reliable for 270,000 miles. (touch wood).
