It is not good idea to ask this group how is my weld .
    It is never right.
Part problem is most do tig welding and you can get good looking weld. But stick weld does not have same look to be a good weld. Try E6010 or E6011 it will almost never have look of tig.

I'm looking at the welder cart... obviously low profile to fit under projects. More bending than I'd like, but interesting...

I confess to being intimidated to photograph my welds here. There are experts I submit to their criticism. & there are amateurs who will also be brutal in criticism.

It's the constructive comments from some of you who are genuinely generous with knowledge, keep me coming back.

My first thought was "how the hell did a deer get up there to leave a little pile of special nuggets on a railing like that" then I remembered it's a welding forum and not reddit.

It's easy, just leave the stinger dangling in the wind from the rail while you're having coffee...

Well at least it isn't a serious safety item - like say a railing at a sheer cliff. Now THAT would be bad!

Your welding is very good. Pictures are not very forgiving. They magnify every flaw, stuff one would never notice in a year with bare steel or painted over. I would have no problem paying the bill.

Found this on an Indian sculpture on a roadside stop near Glacier Park. Your tax dollars at work.

Gee! I think it was a legitimate question. Was it bow & arrow, Or towel head? The location makes it more probable Native American. If I were Native American, (I'm not), I'd be weary of the endless confusion.

In either case, that thing is brutally crude!

I hope that eyesore is not chained down. Some scrap scavenger will tote that off to be melted down.

You did notice the pics I hope?

I am assuming Seattle is your home base based upon the post. Good example of what is screwing up things in society. Too busy correcting folks, telling others how to live, speak, think and admonishing them if not following all the PC crap. The funny part was that there was a roadside vendor selling “Indian” jewelry…go figure. I guess his heritage was not being labeled correctly as well. My bad.

. Oh come on already. A little common sense goes a long way. Your tax dollars at work is your first clue, location is the second, knowing that the pics were taken while traveling in the northern part of the states while on a vacation is the third. I can’t answer as to why moto asked that question but based on all the facts involved I surmised my opinion and reacted. Perhaps I had one to many last night and should have just left it alone. My bad.

You're being snotty. I too wasn't zeroing in on the location. We have a lot more India based Indians than Cowboy enemies. The workmanship gave no hint. We have the guy on You Tube American Indian, does some remarkably skilled steel work. There are hundreds of You Tube videos of India people doing highly skilled work with nothing for tools. This POS looks like neither. Looks like Suzy Homemaker took an art class & totally missed the point.

Yeah I know, I’ll chill . My take was the artwork was made to look like Indian sculpture not necessarily built by the hands of an Indian.

Obviously. If it was the other type of Indian it'd be a statue of a cow.

I was just making a joke. Also, I respect what your aiming at. Indian isn't a derogatory word, though. I know a lot of indians and have a lot of respect for them (becausee of their individual character) and the local tribes (because of the historical significance and their work at keeping it "alive"). Native American is more proper, but if someone called me "white", I wouldn't correct them to "Caucasian".
