    Another New Member

Finally Joined after a couple of years of intermitant lurking. Retired Facility Maintenance Tech, former shipyard electrician, retired Navy and now trying to be a landlord. I bought a Hobart AC/DC Stickmate as a retirement gift to myself.

The main things that come from my workshop are noise, smoke, sparks and sawdust. I am becoming a better welder, to reduce the need to be an expert grinder.

    Re: hey from canada

I'm new here. first post. I'm originally from Toronto (Bloor/Ossington area). later we moved to Etobicoke and Mississauga. i'm now living in Belleville. that's just past half way between TO and Kingston.

I bought a used Lincoln Weldpak 100 with the Mig stuff at an auction. I'm a total beginner at this. all i've got is the lincoln instruction video. and it being at the start of the summer, the next night school class is not for another 2 months.

so far i have learned how to burn holes in thin wall tubing. i'm going to pick up some cheap angle from the scrap yard on monday for something easier to practice on.

    Hi, Everybody!
