    Who made this welder?

Who manufactured this welder for Air Products? (check out the pics) Is it a Miller, Lincoln or maybe a Linde? I need a parts list and some instructions and have gotten nowhere looking for Air Products info. There are no other data plates or markings other than the Air Products MP230.

    Looks like AIRCO.

This is the reason i always advise welders to get a machine from
a major supplier. I can't believe they did not put a tag on that machine somewhere with the model and manufacturer info.

I think it was a guy named Lou. Or maybe it was Smitty; hard to be sure!!!
And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.

Air Products was bought out by Air Gas. If you have an Air Gas around you see if they can talk to some of there guys at one of their stores that used to be Air Products. I'm sure some of the older sales men could probably tell you what you wanted to know.

With that top feed system, I think it's an early marquette.

    Re: Who made this welder?

On another post I found out it is a Systematic. I will call Systematic on Tuesday for operators and parts manual. I have a problem with the wire feed and hope to get some type of troubleshooting guide.

If it is systematic, then the service manual is on line at their website. Durable machines.

    Re: Who made this welder?

It looks like the same machine as a Snap-On YA-212( a Systematics, Inc. machine ) 230 amp mig welder. You can still get parts for these machines from either sytematics, or Snap-On.

    Manual : chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/http://www.800abcweld.com/pdf/ya212aind_service_manual.pdf

If the manual link doesn't work then try the link posted by Tapwelder choose from mig welder choices "YA212AIND"

    Parts : http://www.800abcweld.com/store/?crn=267

You can still get wire drive and motor assy, speed control PCB , diodes , and an array of unique parts for this machine. Many parts are available from electronic/electrical suppliers like Allied Electric, Newark electronics, etc. Parts like rheostats, contactors, capacitors etc.

Guns and parts are also available from from USAweld-HTP : https://usaweld.com/collections/avai...cs-mig-welders

Air Products never made any welders that I'm aware of, most that I've seen have been Millers, Systematics , and Esab. This machine is similar in capabilities to the old Millermatic 200, or Migmaster 250, in that its a Multi tap transformer machine, with contactor, and wire speed drive. They are dependable simple machines with plenty of duty cycle. I have had a Snap on version for about 3 or 4 years now with only a few problems, one with liner in the original gun, the other problem is the fan went from loud to nothing. I will probably have to spec one out the grainger catalog, but have been using it carefully without the fan for now.

Is yours running right now ?
