6 speed nice! I got one in my powerstroke. Love the low gear. If u remember right you just use the clutch first 5 feet taking off and not again until taking back off?

With the 40" tires it's a bit trickier, so I've been shifting like a normal human lately.
It's almost street legal again, I got shipped a bad computer/unprogrammed computer that I need to replace so I can smog it.

Take too long for the gear to drop in? What does the big tires effect?

Well the axles and the tires added a huge amount of rotating mass speed drops off rather quickly as soon as I let off the gas.
I can do it, but it's just easier with the clutch.

Oh got it. Sounds like it would wanna slam in gear little then. Going uphill would probably work out to your benefit then since takes a while to drop in gear on a hill. Sometimes the hill is to big and it will slow down the truck to fast before it drops in so you kinda gota run the piss out of it on a hill especially with a load. My knee isn’t built to pump the clutch every shift so that’s why I only use it once if that.

Once I do a hemi swap(in a few years at least) I'll probably be back to my normal shifting.
Waiting on a new ECU, the one I ordered shipped blank and is useless.

Mocked up fender flares, would love to have left them clear, but would look like poo very quickly.

I'm sure the extra wheelbase helps a lot.

Yeah it's not for everyone. I wasn't planning on it being that long, but things ended up where they ended up. Lol

Finally got my plates. Ordered them back in January.
Our lovely governor has been releasing all the plate makers from prison, so it took way too long (8 months vs 6-8 weeks)

Got my offset heims installed on my tierod.
At full lock the tierod hit the diff cover and messed with steering (during u-turns the driver side tire would bind up a little)
    So much better now

Haha. I know. I'm replacing the tierod with a 7075 solid one.
It was a late in the day, trying to get it done situation.
Should have stopped way earlier in the day

    Whoopsie.
Snow just compacted to ice, but was strong enough to hold me up with the belly pan.

Sweet! My '99 TJ had the same diff cover color and, well, it's a Jeep too. Swapping in a D44 rear, with lockers and 4.88s, but mainly fixing rust issues now. Not sure what color I'll paint the diff cover, but your build is inspiring, nonetheless.
