Was looking at the new Thermal Dynamics cutmaster 52 or should I say Victor cutmaster 52. Well they have a new color green and they are made in Mexico not China at least.

I wouldnt be surprised if the reasoning behind the relabeling is possibly something to do with Sanrex might be getting ready to sell units in America, a birdy told me something about that a while back..

I bought a cutmaster52 (green one) today $1440 out the door, it came with 2 tips and 2 electrodes and some extra o-rings..
I also bought a bag of electrodes, a bag of tips, an extra start cartridge and shield cap which was like $105, I asked him about the start cartridges, he laughed and said he knew shops that have ran the same start cartridges for over a year, he said make sure I have clean dry air and they will last.. All the TD consumables are made in USA also. The sl60 torch looked to be made well, unit looked solid and well built.. I just glanced over everything, I will know more tomorrow after I get it unpacked..

Believe it or not, I even bought from a brick and mortar store, Indian Oxygen in Vincennes Indiana ,walked in told the guy I wanted a cutmaster52, guy took my money and even loaded it up for me.

plus I believe I get a 95amp stick welder, have to mail in a rebate form..

The guy priced me a cutmaster42 for $860 while I was there.

Take a piece of scotch bite pad to the tip of the start cartridge every once, and awhile. They last for many years and thousands and thousands of arc starts. I had two with my cnc setup, and both always worked.
