Got a new hood (Miller Titanium 9400i)

Well, I had been waiting for 3m to release the 9100xx with FlexView so that I didn't have to kick my hood off when grinding...but they haven't. So, I bought the Miller Titanium 9400i. I have to say, it's a really nice hood. Headgear is very comfortable, lense is great, the lift up assembly works well and allows me to keep my hood on and just flip the lense up out of the way when grinding. I'd say the only downside is the weight, but I can live with that. It's a definitely a step up in comfort and function from my Optrel Sattelite.

If you get a chance to try one out at your LWS or something, I'd recommend having a look at it.

    This one?
The Miller helmet is $200 less so even though I do love my 3M 9100XX I would have gone for the Miller too.

Ahh, they did release it finally . Yeah, that was what I was waiting for 3m to release...but never saw it come out, so I finally just ordered the Miller. I will probably see if my LWS has that 3m in stock at some point so I can try one out. I'd be interested in comparing it to the Miller I have now. I do like the Miller though, they've definitely come up in quality and design over the last year or two.

I love my 9400i, best helmet i've seen/used. You get used to the weight after a while, the only thing I don't like about it is when I bend over it wants to come off my head cause of the weight. It was definitely and upgrade from my old lincoln fixed shade with a gold lense.

Hi everyone, can you flip up the flip up on the 9400i with one hand? I'd like to eventually get both of these helmets.

I bought the 9400I with the air system and have already had the helmet replaced because the flip front wouldn't stay shut. Hopefully this one is better.

Yes you can flip the 9400i with one hand it's easy after you do it a whole bunch. I have owned my helmet since it first came to the market and it's a nice helmet little heavy. But I'm not complaining
