Just curious, why the taper shape on the handle? Wouldn’t it be more robust to hammer on if it was a uniform dimension from one end to the other? Was it just aesthetics?

Good question. Actually I figured there is no real benefit having a rectangular piece, so to reduce weight I tapered it.

I try to research things as best possible... bought some of the tig miller gloves(blue two tone XXL) 45bux each from IOC I think.. not too bad still a bit small for me... like you said long skinny fingers and all also got a few pairs of the black stallion I heard guys rave about... not too bad either ... not quite as good as the miller name but ok and a bit cheaper... I'm guessing that's why people like em' anyways I hardly ever wear welding gloves when running the mig anymore... unless I'll be doing over head work and lots of it.

Went though a lot of HF gloves...I liked the bigger ones cause they were actually comfortable... most of the time... their kids sewing them wouldn't always have them sewn the same way so some of em' were just weird!!! but the main problem with them was the statching would burn out of the fingers and within a few uses you be getting hot berries in between the webbing of you fingers EeeeeeeYouch!!!!! I put up with that for far too long before stepping up and getting decent(as much as possible) gloves
My issue is the opposite; Big hands, I struggle to get large on, then my short fingers don't reach the end of the glove's fingers. XL fits my hand better, but then glove fingers fold over at the end of mine.

I use OVE GLOVE. They are stretchy so they fit very well. Made of Nomex? & Kevlar with silicone spots, they are great for heat.

Ah man I’m ordering a set of those. I don’t have a camera but I do have some hella reverse lights on the rack

    And an Escort X80

Highly recommend that X80 it’s a little price ~$400 when I bought mine. It still picks up the fuzz well before you can see them. Has a nice app too to stay connected to other escort operators on the road so you can see where they are seeing police and other road hazards as well.

LOL!!!! I don't think Terry meant that kind of radar but it is a good idea to have it for when you're not really on the lookout cause they're pretty sneaky these days around here they have a few stealth cars running around... took me a while to figure out how to spot them the first time I saw one... but the good thing about em' is they are nailing the heck out of these little punks that think the rules don't apply to them and they want to dry like nascar and cut people off 10 times a minute!!!

These guys were around when I was a kid - try them? They are probably accepting Loonys too (this is not the political thread, I didn't mean Democrats).

Watson has an excellent line of gloves.

We sold their gloves exclusively in our garden center and landscape supply stores.

Local to us too! Burnaby BC.

Nowadays I use Weldcote Metals. (My new favorite.)

Have any binding issues cutting the tree down? I've heard huskies can be a bit under powered when used in the felling position

Built a guide band for plasma cutting 10" pipe. It's for semi-skilled people to get a semi square cut for fence corner posts. And no they aren't using my plaz.Name: 20201215_104736.jpg

It's kinda crude looking but the feedlot guys will just beat it up anyway. With a drag tip it is much faster than marking with a wrap around. I made a 6" and an 8" model last year and they like using them. Not sure why they don't make their own.
