First hour of having a go at aluminium tig, got a new Unimig ac/dc 200 with foot pedal.

2.4mm tungsten, no7 cup, had it on 200a but feathering a bit,first ime using a foot pedal too.
It's been a while since I've run on .100 material, but I think 200A might be a little high. Can you post pics of the back side?

Thats the back side, I did another run there too, you can see on the right where I had a slight blow out at the end.
I wasn't at 200 for much if any of the time, just using the pedal
Try to set max amperage where you are running around 2/3 pedal or more at least for the majority of the weld.
Looks like you need more filler. It'll cool the puddle better and add more reinforcement.

Nothing new to post up so I'll post some more pics that I've been meaning to from that twin turbo corvette build I was doing the welding on (back from page 12)...
chopped the back off for cowl clearancing
re-powdercoated
Bigger intercooler outlet was needed and at a specific angle to match the next pipe
some bungz too

shortened the ends of the headers and welded on V-band clamps
had to slightly re-route a header primaty tube for brake booster clearance

these are clipper racks for the barber shop. made from stainless flats drilled and countersunk for plug welding from the reverse side. hooks are scrap bolts with the thread removed and bent in a press.
