This was at the weekend. Folded, welded and installed, with welded tabs to secure the inside.
The gutter tapers from 250mm at one end, to 700mm at the other end... the new shed is square to one existing wall but not to the other side, lol






On to making doors next. It's a fiddly triple sliding door layout we need for the front, so I laid it out in Solidworks and we'll place the order for material today, hopefully start making them next weekend.

No........... If you look at some stuff, you'll notice beams with lighter flanges, or larger web to flange ratios. These are custom beams made to order. They're made with lighter materials.

You see this on trailers made by P&J, Big Tex, and other mega trailer manufacturers. On semi trailers, you see different size/thickness flanges on top and bottom. All custom made for the application.

Big dogs LOVE kids. They'll protect them to the death. Small dogs seem to be not so good with kids. That's a cute pic!!

Its for baby and young calves. Straw bales are stored in the barn directly above the new shed where the tractor is in the last picture. There will be a big door and a set of steps down in between.

The gutter was made strong enough to stand in and we never consider snow load over here, we barely get an inch per year. Lots of rain, though.

Brother and dad can now get on with sheeting the walls, they don't need my input for that.

I got to hand it to you to do that much overhead stuff. I would freak out and flip it with that big forklift and be happy welding down flat. Not that I can't do overhead, it would just speed things up.

I keep looking at those tie downs and thinking about Freebird's welding table with the tension cables. Might be a place for those in the next welding table build. Not that I'm planning one any time soon...

On my pickup has the tie downs on floor.
I did find for hauling steel 2x12 works best. The steel does not slide on bed like a steel or aluminum tread plate does.

On the farm flat decks I've built I used these weld-on babies.






Inexpensive and easy to recess.

Hooks on the passenger side of the deck and sliding or welded cargo winches on the driver side.

The guy obviously has skills, but I hate everything about this utube.
I hate seeing people work off the ground/floor. It's untradesmanlike and the guy has money to chain smoke but no money for ppe. No excuse for deadbeat behavior in my opinion. Doesn't matter where you come from.

Ya the boss is a perfectionist and loses a good chunk of money over it making me cut something apart when it's a 16th off. I was putting the outside steps on the other day and he checked it and said you're a whole 16th off,actliked like I should cut it apart then says probably not enough to mess with then says you could put a big tack here on the bottom. I had a hard time holding my smirk back. The end lines I measured from it was dead on, next time I show him which lines a measured from. He's a gaslighter lol, pretty decent at it but I see right through it, cant control himself so he has to control someone, so ya we pretty much make perfect boxes which is rewarding making stuff dead on with the level
