Yeah I'm not sure if it was or not. If it was someone did a decent job hiding it. No evidence of being welded before to the eye.

Nicest one I've ever seen. Only one I've ever seen.
SKUD missile mortar?

Nice work. I hope you wore a PAPR when you fluxed the inside fillet.

It will make more sense tomorrow. It's an adapter to increase a 6" pole to 8" for a small solar array. The 6" pole is already mounted in concrete I presume, so this will be welded to the top of it to allow an 8" pole mount to be installed.

Thanks. Unfortunately Go Fund Me hasn't funded a PAPR yet. I wore my regular respirator and kept my head far enough away that the cross breeze took away most of the smoke.

Re: Show us what you welded today
I'm gonna get me a Go Fund Me thing. Seems quite a few have them. My former neighbor was dedicating his life to generating as many pregnancies as possible. after several women we knew of, & a couple dozen children we know of, he met "the love of his life" on line. She was in the Philippines. He would have to go there, marry her to legally bring her back. He started a fund.
I don't know the details, but sure enough, a woman who fit the description moved in.
She was pregnant, & it was made known they'd be married at 7:00PM. I saw them in Hannaford at 6:45 PM half hour from home. Neither was dressed for a wedding.
I had been the Justice of the Peace performing the ceremony for his sister & his mother, but didn't hear from him.
This country is full of baby factories producing welfare babies. Suddenly now, parents who pay their own bills can't get formula & NO SURPRIZE, it's the US government at the root of it all.

Re: Show us what you welded today
had a bad bend in the whip on the top right hard wire weld. I was wondering why it was welding like crap and co worker noticed the wire feeder about under the truck. I know excuses

that’s a double pass towards the end of the center of the dog house since the gap got big towards the end. I’ve only welded all this up a couple times in the last few months. Usually I’m under the truck

In my case, a mixture of cow's milk & other stuff recommended by medical & nutrition experts, mixed up at home. That was 65 years ago. Not every mother is successful at breast feeding, some kids need other food.

It came out more harshly than I realized. I am ashamed that one of the most affluent countries in the world has sunken to the point of not being able to adequately feed it's smallest inhabitants. Jim

Re: Show us what you welded today
Thank you willie. It goes pretty under appreciated at the shop. I’ve only heard good job about 4 times since I started about a year and a half ago. Busted my a$$ this week and supposed to be getting metal at the end of the week and didn’t have it ready for me couple weeks back and the boss in charge of giving it to me leaves early couple fridays ago and didn’t leave it like normal and she wasn’t here all week this week because she was scared to catch my left over covid that I think I got couple weeks back. Asked one of the bosses if he can be in charge of the scrap earnings and he says no that’s youres and so and so’s deal. I asked the other boss at the end of the day and he says no way definitely not with a goofed face lol. Not Gona let those losers get me down, especially since I know there miserable. All three of them are narcs. One is actually a sociopath always projecting hurting someone. Hopefully I can get couple weeks worth Monday but I’m sure there will be some kind of manipulation like always. I build the subframes in half the time as most guys and usually never take a grinder to any welds. Other Guys take forever to weld and take forever grinding there welds and weld areas are full of carbide grinding marks. Not Gona stop my motivation tho

My mother used to scold me for failing to compliment my oldest son. I pointed out I had done just fine. Made it 40 years without a compliment from my mother. Take the compliments when you get them, but do your best between compliments.
