One of the hardest transitions for me was renting a car where they drove on the “wrong” side of the road. It was especially hard at traffic circles going left instead of right. Glad all the pubs were within walking distance or it would have been pretty ugly.

I had the opposite problem. I drove from London to Scotland and back south of London over 6 days and had no problems (well, except for pulling out in front of a semi at one of the few rural intersections I found with no roundabout... and almost dying in a roundabout going to see Stonehenge which I never got to see....but I digress...) until I came home. Was home about a week and caught myself driving up the wrong side of main street in our hometown. Lucky for me, it's population is about 60 with an average age of 103 so we survived...

Not hard to do last summer my wife help me a 780 pound lathe.
It simple put rollers or wheels. I have move tools in pass with Landry soap and just push the tool in place.

For harnessing I just drop a ball and see how high in bounce.

I'm not entirely sure what the original source of this steel was, I think maybe some sort of loader arms from an old John Deere.



I did notice that the sparks from grinding were a little different than mild steel.









My original plan included another piece on the back of the shank toward the bottom, and plates on either side. Also some sort of sharpened cutter bit on the front edge.

The good thing is, this is a project for my own use, not for a customer. I will enjoy fixing and upgrading it, and hopefully improve my welding skills as well.

A guy I used to like, WyoRoy, although I knew him by his real name.............used to hate Oklahoma. Said the worst Winter he ever spent was up near Ponca City, working on a generating plant. And he came from Kansas, and later Wyoming. Said the Winters there were child,s play compared to cold humid Winters here. Humidity will kill ya when it's hot, and bury ya when it's cold.

Vacation home owners close to me have described Bigfoot tracks as 30" long. I confess, they have melted before I actually see them.


We once had a series of Bigfoot sightings 40 miles away. If you look at a map of Vermont, the hook is the epicenter of animals that don't exist. One of those National TV shows once did a series of shows there.

Bigfoot (it turns out) responds to goofy women (BIG glasses) with backpack selfie mounts, enlisting someone to bang a tree with a stick. The responding bangs on something, (maybe a tree), proves the presence of Bigfoot.

No one has ever proved big fit, yeti, swamp ape, snow man etc etc exist to date. It is probably an inter dimensional time traveling skin walker and perhaps come and go as they please. Could even be shape shifters that have been seen in a Texas as huge bird man etc. There are way too many urban legends and crazy myths of the ever elusive big foot.
