It's Array frame time of year!

Now that construction is starting to move again, audio installs are picking speed as well. These are an item that we build to mount speaker arrays to buildings for permanent installs or temporary build like for the music industry to go out on tour.

Yeah, I know. Most of my work is proprietary to the customer. I will look thru my photos for some more. These popped up out of the blue so I figured what the heck.

    Thanks for looking.

Very cool! I've been doing live sound for 31 years, as an amateur. Nicely done.

Here are the some of the ones I do for JBL Pro in Northridge.

Of course keeping them withing the flatness callout is tough sometimes.

Wow. That is impressive, to say the least. How much weight is supported in those long runs of speakers, such as the JBL Pro image?

The white and black QSC audio frames are 1/2" in the middle and 3/8" on the sides.

The black JBL frames are 1" in the middle. They have bronze bushings pressed in them.

The JBL frames as the one in the pic is rated at 2000lbs off one corner. They are tested to minimum 8000lbs failure rate.

If you know how much each of those speakers weigh, you get an idea.

I was at a concert looking at those arrays . I was wondering how they were built. I always look at stuff and wonder that.

No, I gave that up long ago. Too many strings attached. I do pay my own way into performances and am pleasantly surprised to see my gear.

Rubber stamp and paste ink. Dab a small amount onto a metal plate and use a roller to flow out. Then transfer onto the part. You see my vendor # on the bottom row as well as the p.o. # and date. This corrolates to the document package that I send for their files.

Always nice to have that kind of info on a part. I see that a lot on circuit boards, usually as part of the silk-screening.
