Anyone have info on a rebuild kit or seal #'s for a Miller Radiator 1

I have a leak on the back of the pump ..... I think a shaft seal is in order...
Pump is a Oberdorfer 884 1000R 39

John,
The rebuild kit for that pump is about $120.00 part # OB 11187 You can get it from Depco pump 800-446-1656

If you want just the shaft seal, Thats about $15.00 .... Part # 5007

Hey John,
Thanks for the tip...

I got a new seal installed and all is well. I ran the pump yesterday in test mode and no leaks.... The only thing I don't like is the pump is a little loud.... Maybe next time I will spring for the complete rebuild kit... It was $96.30 shipped.... It comes with 4 Carbon Bearings, Casing O-Ring, Drive Gear and Shaft, Idle Gear and Shaft.

mine looked OK... so I just bought the seal..... and polished up the shafts...

oh, and I filled her up with bright GREEN antifreeze....:laugh::cool2:

Automotive coolant has been run in this cooler for the last 30 years.

I just tore it down and everything is fine ( besides the dripping seal)

I'm not concerned.

A rebuild kit is not going to quite it at all. I did this and is no change. Then i converted to a procon pump and now nice and quite. I posted the conversion here. I was a hobart bernard cooler. Same oberdoefer though.

Well on to chapter 2

After the rebuild the pump ran ok
But that damn noise was getting to me...

I made an impulse buy on ebay after a few beers ...
Procon series 1 pump and procon motor....
So far I am tickled to death
It is super quite and will bury the needle if you adjust it up...
I got it set 45 psi tight now...
Might go up some...

Im waiting on a big 200mm muffin fan with a small power supply
Should fit in there nice...
Oh yeah,
The fan has blue led lights in it too...
Miller blue...

Nice job. I just got the pump part and not the motor for my conversion. I had to make a stubby shaft with a tang to fit. Go to my youtube site and you can see my build. Username: Tjsnordic
