    $59 portable welding table

I have been wanting that stronghand tool portable welding table for a little while now, but no way at $150+. Went to harbor freight to pick up some things last night and they had a table that looked identical. And $149. Well F that.
Today I went online to look it up to get some more info and what do you know it's on sale for $59! Well I didn't want to go back to harbor freight since every time I go there, it's a bad experience with their customer service. EVERY time. So I figured they would probably argue over pricing and coupons and it I would have to wait 20 minutes in line because of the stupid people that have 12 coupons for a free flashlight and blah blah blah. Ordered this online, shipping was $6 and I was able to use a 20% off coupon. Total was just under $59 shipped to my door with tax! I'll take it!

Thats a nice table and the price is awesome. I think its one of their newest items. Im liking the new welding cabinet cart. It would be around $100 with the 25% coupon.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393687178.619006.jpg

I saw that in the March flyer. For $45.00 with 25% off coupon it might just come in handy for another table to add to the collection. That sure looks identical to the Stronghand. I don't know if the stores have them. It could be a clearance item. I may just have to see next trip to the store.

It was at the store in palatine, so I am sure the rest may have them.
I am thinking it might be worth picking up 2 of them in case I need to lay something big across both.

They have several here in Arkansas. To be honest, I am not impressed at all. Very light gauge top, and flimsy all around. For $60 you could hit a metal recycler and build one a whole lot stronger. But, if it will suite your needs, then it's not a big deal.

I bought two of these Keter tables from walmart for $49.00 each. Much better then saw horse and takes up little space. Here's the video and the garage journal site that posted about them.

I just purchased the table today. $59.00 and a 25% off coupon =$45.00. The table is light duty, but for my purpose it is perfect. Folds up almost flat.

I bought a grinder pedestal on sale Name: image_20414.jpg
Views: 11453
Size: 1.1 KB and discovered it is handy as an indestructible welding table. I usually clamp projects down and rest the far end on a sawhorse.
I liked the pedestal so much for welding that I then got a four leg stand for the grinder when those went on sale. Name: image_22086.jpg
Views: 11432
Size: 1.3 KB But then I mounted a heavy vise on that stand. The vise is handy for everything and works great for welding projects too. Both stands are easy to drag out in front of the barn where welding won't be a fire hazard.

The grinder is still on the workbench.

I bought the cart with drawers at HF using a 25% off coupon. Its amazing how quickly you accumalete small parts, nozzles,, torhes, hoses, etc. The build quality is pretty good. The bottom compartment would have been better used as a drawer...but a basket would proably due in the short run.

I took a look at the wleding table. Overall, I would rate it as marginal...I'm going to buy one using another 255 off coupon, but will need to reframe underneath the table top using Angle iron since it dows flex if you give it a good twist in opposite corners.

HF also sells a smaller welding machine cart with no draws...if you can get by with out the draws...on sale the open air cart would only set you back 35 bucks.

could be mistaken but the top looks like it's made of plastic....pretty hard to use that as a welding table if it is.

I didn't buy it for a welding table. It's better then saw horses, holds 1,000 pounds, and can open it up in seconds. You never have enough flat space for material , clamps , hood ,gloves, tools, etc. It is one handy item for me. Amazon was selling the same ones for around $100.00

Is it exactly like your strong hand tools one? What does the strong hand tools one have over the HF one?

Well have to look closer. Looked like the bottom A frame was fixed and didn't fold flat

I have 2 also. The A-frame legs fold together and the top rotates down, making a nice flat profile, but heavy. The tables are not going to replace the 1/2" ground flat beat the heck out of it welding table. Made for old guys like me , so we don't need to kneel on the ground to weld on the floor. for $45.00 (with 25% off coupon)its a good deal.

Might have to reconsider getting one. primarily would be for TIG. Anyone have pics of what they did to reinforce them?
