If he is wearing safety glasses, he's all good.
You work for the TSA ?

I watch some of the same as above but there is a gentleman that sculpts with steel and welding and has hundreds of video's. I think he is entertaining and informative and I think he is on here as well. Here is one of Kevin Caron's videos on the Miller 211 autoset. Pretty much the same machine as my Hobart 210 MVP. Actually around the time I bought mine, Miller was out of their branded gun and were shipping with the Hobart branded one, identical other than the name on the handle... LOL. Awesome machine BTW!

In no particular order, these are the channels I like and why....

ChuckE2009. - Just cool as hell, very informative and 1st place winner in number of weld vids.

Weldingtipsandtricks - Jody because he's a pro and an excellent teacher.

Kevin Caron - A gifted metal artist that stands above all others. (See his website pics). A great teacher.

WeldFever - an up and coming new YouTuber that has a lot of potential for his welding vids.

DarrlingtonFarms - just a down to earth Farmer that welds and makes neat videos.

FieldRes - One flew over the cuckoo's nest, albeit a bad azz welder!!!!!!

Musher Deeds - A small one man shop welder that has made some damn good videos.

xAZAZELx13 - The BEST mass produced pipeline welding videos you'll ever see on YouTube.

Alvarez Metal Works - Another one man shop welder trying to get his star on YouTube. Great channel.

TheProRancher - This guy has made a limited number of welding vids, but they're descent. But, he makes kick azz vids about working on a real ranch! Plus he makes custom branding irons and is a hunting/gun fanatic.

Last but not least......

SV Seeker - The most incredible self taught and determined fabricator/welder I've ever witnessed on the internet! He's documenting a gigantic welding job on his front lawn!!!! He's making a huge all steel "battle ship" (okay, a pleasure vessel) on his front lawn with his wife. They've been at it for a few years and it's obviously their "life's mission. Noah would even have envied this Ship of fabricated steel and beauty. He has hours of video documenting this enormous task with this monster metal sea vessel. Heck, prior to this, he built and "sailed" a metal submarine!!!! He knows how to follow blue prints and build everything from bulkheads to fabricating his own bronze propellers! Plus, he's doing the majority of the welds with a Miller suitcase welder!

FieldRes is a pretty odd dude. I think he's a really skilled welder but I don't really care for the elitist attitude. He seems like he's one of those "if you don't make a living welding you ain't sh!t" kind of guys. Reminds me of "that guy" at a party.

Although in all fairness I don't watch a whole lot of his vids any more so maybe I'm off-base.

The two I prefer are Jody and Lanse's channels. Jody is highly skilled and knowledgeable and his videos are well produced and easy to watch. Lanse (chucke2009) is not polished but he really has the most interesting videos because his are often project driven. Its always nice to see someone progress through an entire build. Not to mention I think most of us probably relate to him better than people like Mr tig.

Fieldres is also a great welder but I don't enjoy his videos that much.

The worst is Mr Tig. Whoever decided to call him a "World renowned Tig Expert" is completely delusional. His welds normally look like crap. Compare his beads to the beads Jody or Fieldres produce and it is obvious he is not a world renowned expert.

You guys forgot Brazil welds.
Those men can weld!!! Good arc shots too.

Fieldres is awesome, wish he would do some good 7018 arc shots...
Jody, hands down has the most informative channel.
Mr. Tig, can't weld anything but shiny metal on the table, in his pleated dockers, and shiny helmet....
KC's channel has lots of beginners tips, as does Lanses.

Then there's AKweldshop....
Still trying to get some more welding videos....

I think your videos rock Kevin. I also like Lanse (chucke2009) but I think blackwaterstout hit it on the head. I can relate to you guys, Lanse and I are both Ohio boys transplanted to the southwest so Yeah, I just gotta watch. Your stuff is entertaining and I feel like they way you present the information just works for me. I guess that's why there are 8 zillion vids on YouTube. What do they say, different strokes for different folks. From the monotone shop teacher type that just strait gives you the information but is about as exciting as watching a Sahuaro grow. Then on the other end you have the old Harley guy in his shop and the cigarette never leaves his mouth (not joking, He put in a second one, lite it and took a few drags off both then removed the first one all while running a mill :dizzy: ). Every other word is a cuss word but damn he knows what he is talking about. Yeah, I'll stick to Kevin and Lanse's video's and check out some of the above ones as well.

Kevin and everyone else that does videos my hats off to you and keep up the good work. I was starting to post up some videos for fab work aimed at total beginners, even got the new YouTube channel and email. I had a small setback involving the HD video camera, flimsy table surface and a 5 pound stubby sledge. :blush2::eek::confused: I should finish this F250 bumper this weekend and I'll get a new (dustproof, waterproof, and SHOCKPROOF!) camera and get it going again... LOL.

Fieldres. Hands down
I am a bit biased as I am a professional pipe welder

His skill for pipe welding is epic. Any one looking to weld pipe should notice his body and hand positioning while moving around the pipe. Also the information about welding reactive alloys to code specs.

Yes that guy appears to be on another level. There are probably lots of welders as good on pipe, but none that take time to put video up and explain the theory beind the practice.

I don't mind the take it or leave it attitude. So many posers and trolls on the internet it's a wonder he even bothers at all.

Only wish he would figure out a way to get good arc shots.

I don't even weld pipe but somehow his stuff seems legitimate. The video of the truck burning is just crazy. Oh - my truck is on fire. Super dry Canadian humor.
