hi all. ( ignore the century pic please)
can anybody tell me if this is a good quality welder? i think it has a simple fault but i havent investigated it
i was going to trade some car parts for it so im not sure if to get it and fix it if needed or just leave it and buy something else.
its dusty but looks very clean and cared for with the manual ect but its been unused for a while and im not sure how expensive these things can get to fix.
from what i was told it all lights up but wont arc. bought at an estate sale and was working fine but the guy died and it sat in the garage for a year or two but is it even worth having? i cant find much about it anywhere online.looks good quality
any idea of its value IF working? or as it is right now?
thanks

It's just one of those deals where it could be simple fix and a decent mig machine BUT it could be an anchor- and certainly no support for that machine.

$ as it sits- ZERO

If it works- $50-100.00 That's all I would pay for it. If you know the guy ask if you can take it and try to get it to work, if it does then buy it.

Hi broccoli

thanks for the reply hmmm 50-100 bucks working/?! wow that seems very cheap to me. but if its an anchor then maybe i should just steer clear of it
i do know the guy and i could mess with it before i swap my parts for it but heres the deal
i was going to swap it for parts worth maybe 2-300 bucks but the parts dont owe me that. AND i diddnt want to take them with me as i am moving
and i dont really want to drag this thing with me either if its basicly an extinct machine but if its a good quality thing that should survive another 10 years i could use it but also have to drag it with me and i allready have a miller auto set
mmm maybe i should just sell my parts and save the hassle

thanks again.

anybody else??
