I didn’t build this one but this is what I weld off of… I have two of these. 5’x5’ 2” thick cast iron. Underneath 4” cast grid and all the way around. I like having two so I have the option of a 5’x5’, 5’x10’, or gap them for a 5’xwhatever’

My old table which I don't seem to actually have a picture of and there is to much **** on it right now to actually take picture but here it is before the slats were put on.

My main one that I made between classes when I was in school.

Love the slot cut outs on that main table you built, best of both worlds.

Very useful and stout, always make two though and sell one on facebook/craigslist/offerup to pay for yours!

Like that tool to keep taps straight. Looks similar to the hand operated tool for drilling large holes. Can't remember the name of them though.

Still working every now and then on my welding table.

Cut and rolled lengths of 3/16"x2" flat bar for clamp hangers today ...

decorative holes to detract from mediocre welds....

mocked up in place with magnets. Will determine exact placement another day...

Which welder do you tend to gravitate towards these days? Using the Fronius or do you still tend to use the old tried and trues?

I like MIG as it is conducive to my haphazard style of mock-up for fabricating.

For the umpteenth time - thanks for posting all the useful add-ons you design. The arched holder, the vise table - perfectly executed.

    Re: Welding table picture thread

I wasn’t certain if my table was going to sit flat on the floor and be moved with a pallet jack or keep the recessed 5” steel casters.

Today I decided the casters would stay for now which necessitated making a floor lock on the swivel end.

    tacked in place….

I’m somewhat pleased (and surprised) that it works well.

Cable hangers today tacked in place.

I guess they work for clamps too

I'll have another look after lunch and decide whether to keep them or not.

    One handle needed "tweaking".

Looked like it was welded in place by a one eyed drunk. (No offense intended to one eyed weldors drunk or otherwise)

I'm confused??? Beautiful table design but some of the welds need a lot more help than spatter spray. You should be ashamed of posting those weld pics. but you do have a good selection of grinders.
