It was very pricey, I gave almost 18k for the table and all the accessories plus shipping. But I work alone and having this table saves me a ton of hrs on each job. The precision and versatility is unreal. It’s definitely paid for itself. I’m very particular with my tools so this should last me a lifetime no problem.

I would not give $18,000 for table .
But all my work was big
Today I buy a Lazer leave so did not need a second person.

Looks like a Seigmund?

I was absolutely super impressed with the Seigmund tables at a machinery show I went to a few weeks back. Made of tool steel, and that lovely hard nitriding finish.
the lady on the stand had an 18" long bit of 2"x2" solid mild steel bar in her hands. "Watch this" and smacked the edge of the table with all her might. Put a nice dent in the bar, but didn't even mark the nitrided surface of the table.
"Can I have a go please?"
"Sure"
So I took the bar and whacked that table edge with as much force as I could give it... Nope. Not a mark on it. The steel bar was pretty beat up and chipped though.

Now I understand why they cost so much, and why they are worth it.
I can imagine how well it would last even with daily use and mig welding BBs grinding around on it.

A Seigmund table is something I aspire to. Maybe in a year or two's time. I'll make do with my DIY jig table for now.

Ah, go ahead and do it now. Wait a year or two, and you'll regret not having had it for the last 2 years...

As I've said in a couple other threads, every bit of Bluco quality at not Bluco price. If you aren't working with super large stuff, the system 16 is a much less offensive price, and no less quality. I'm in for a bit under $7k for two of the 3x4' system 16 tables bolted together to make a 4x6. Although, I think current pricing on that same setup would have me a little over $9k. Regardless, the 'baby' system 16 has all 1/2" plate construction, and with the grid bottom, that's still pretty stout.

I had a 28mm 1500x3000mm (approx 5’x10’) that I imported from China. The quality was meh I’d give it a 9 out of 10. I had it for a year and then Seigmund came out with the imperial series tables and they were heavily discounted, so I sold the Chinese crap and got this table. To be honest the 28 series is overkill for hobbyist or someone doing lighter duty work. I could've easily gotten by with the 16 series setup. I would’ve never gotten the Chinese table, but at the time they were 50-70% cheaper than Bluco or Siegmund. I couldn’t afford Siegmund until they went on sale.

Yeah, that's when I got the ones I have, too. I always liked the idea of the tables, but metric was a big hold up. When they came out with the inch version, and put the 3x4' tables on sale for $2k each plus freight with an accessory set included, I couldn't afford to not have them. I've since added another $2500 in accessories piece meal, but it's the bees knees for sure.
