    Angry Dialarc Faceplate

Looking for the price of a new faceplate for a Dialarc I'm cleaning up. Called Miller, they gave me the part number and pointed me to Vintage Parts (vpartsinc.com). The problem is that they won't sell to me unless I am an authorized Miller dealer...
    What a crock!

Bless you, my son, you are now authorized. Say three Hail Millers and sin no more.

Thank you, Oldendum! I have my doubts about this working, though...

I'm on good terms with a couple Buddhist monks. Want me to have them chant a few good words on your behalf?

I would make sure whoever told you that at Miller hears that they will only sell to dealers. Ask Miller if that is their deal or just strong-arming on that dealer's part.

    I don't speak Bhuddist...
It's not Miller, it's the fools they sold the parts to... I guess I could go to a dealer locally but I'm sure they would have it marked up so much that I wouldn't want it...

Check with Larry Burross. If they do in fact only sell to dealers, maybe he'll order it for you and have it drop-shipped.

No dice. Setup charge will kill profit at this point.

    Sorry

Clean it up, hit the nicks with a black marker, spray it with some matte Krylon clear and call it good.
Didn't think about the clear. Thanks!
Too bad they aren't the same...

Here's the faceplate of my HF. Not bad shape for its age (1980 or 81).
