    Miller WC-2/Spoolmatic 2 testing question

I'm helping a friend check out a WC-2/Spoolmatic 2 controller/gun combo he was given. He has no matching welders. It was supposedly working when taken out of service.

With 120v power applied to the control via extension cord, but no welding current applied to the contact inside (we are waiting on a lead and lugs), when I pull the trigger at least one of the relays in the control buzzes but the spoolgun motor doesn't rotate.

Does the WC-2 require any other inputs to rotate the spoolgun motor when the trigger is pulled? We want to adapt it to a Migmaster 250 which appears doable if we connect the two contactor control leads from the WC-2 to the appropriate pins on the ESAB spoolgun connector.

    What sayeth the hive mind?

The WC-2/SM 2 requires power source weld output to operate the wire feed motor. Should be two relays (CR1 & CR4) activating when the SM 2 trigger is pulled.
