2011 Everlast PowerMTS 160 and 200S Synergic Mig/Tig/Stick DIGITAL WELDER

The PowerMTS series, with MIG, TIG, and stick capabilities, is a new line from Everlast for 2011. Previously we announced the portable PowerMTS 400. Now, we are announcing the introduction of PowerMTS 160 and 200S. Both are extremely portable and lightweight. With a euro quick connect on the MIG, and built-in TIG gas valve, the unit is completely self contained. The units will hold up to a 11 lb roll of wire. The PowerMTS 160 features digital 160 amp MIG with arc force control. Additionally, the PowerMTS 200 features synergic function of the 200 amp MIG function. Simply select wire diameter, wire type, and wire speed control is auto set. If desired, the 200S can be operated in regular mig mode as well. DC tig function feature down slope and post flow control. Stick function is smooth and with low spatter.

These units are ideal for portable repair or light fabrication. The PowerMTS series can give you the flexibility you need to go anywhere, and weld almost anything.

PowerMTS 160 retail 949.00 with accessories
PowerMTS 200S retail 1249.00 with accessories

It has a wave form control as well, which is sometimes referred to arc force, inductance, or slope on mig, and dig on stick.

My HTP MTS 160 in shop for repairs. If its terminal, or more expense to repair than its worth, I may be considering one of these in the future.

Re: 2011 Everlast PowerMTS 160 and 200S Synergic Mig/Tig/Stick DIGITAL WELDER

Basically my questions would be wire size capabilities, duty cycle, input amp draw, weight, and accessories included of each unit.

Re: 2011 Everlast PowerMTS 160 and 200S Synergic Mig/Tig/Stick DIGITAL WELDER

    No problem.

    Duty cycle:
    160; 30% @ 160 amps, 60%@ 115 amps
    200S; 25% @ 200 amps, 30% @170 amps, 60%@ 115 amps

    Voltage:220V

    Input Amps:
160; 27 for MIG, 22 for TIG, 31 for Stick
200S; 37 for MIG, 29 for TIG, 33 for stick

    Weight:
    160 25 lbs approx
    200S 30 lbs approx

Wire sizes .023-.040 for both, with aluminum drive rolls. .045 is possible with steel. 2-12 lb rolls (up to 8 inches)

200 S is synergic function mig with automatic setting of voltage based off selected wire diameter and metal type. ONly manual manipulation of the wire speed is required. The unit automatically compensates the voltage. Manual overide is a function (ALT) so that it can function in a normal mig mode. Also includes inductance (wave form) control.

160 is a standard functioning mig with wave form

Both feature 2T/4T function of MIG/TIG with both featuring down slope and post flow controls for both. TIG is lift arc, with arc force control for Stick.

Torches include Genuine 8 ft trafimet MIG torch, 300 amp stick electrode holder, 200 amp trafimet style tig torch.

And both feature burn back control.[/LIST]
