    Tig Brazing Question

I would like to try some tig brazing. I have seen this brazing rod at the local TSC.http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/stor...in?cm_vc=IOPDP
    This is Hobart #770510
Is this suitable for tig brazing or should I try something else.

That is low fuming gas rod. Standard silicon bronze (old name Everdure) works fantastically.

Ok, so you're saying that rod is for torch use and not tig?

    Re: Tig Brazing Question

Yes, the Silicon Bronze comes in 36" lengths for tig. Flows like butter on DC, but can be used on AC current as well. Very good for welding bronze to bronze, bronze to brass, bronze to steel or stainless steel, and steel to steel, steel to stainless, and stainless to stainless.
