    Hello for Arizona

I am wanting to work with metal 16ga maybe a little thicker not sure. I found a Lincoln plasma Pro-cut 25 on criagslist, asking price $500.The person selling it recently bought a small fabrication shop and it selling the plasma cutter. He knows nothing about the history of the cutter.

What are your thoughts? I am on a budget, I could by a Chinese built one. Yes I know very bad idea. I do not know what to look at when I check out the plasma cutter. Yes I am a green horn.

Will he let you try it out? If not then it does not work. $500 is a bit steep for a well used unit that size. Price the consumables first as well.

    Re: Hello for Arizona

If he has a metal fabrication shop, what is he using for a plasma cutter?

And if he won't let you try it out; in my opinion you should find a seller who will.
I offer three choices: Good, Fast, & Cheap. You may pick two.
