Old sa200

I picked up a old sa200 today that I don't think the correct code # and ser.# are on the faceplate is the code # stamped on the generator somewhere? Also what year did they quit putting the terminals on the front of the machine ?

Code is stamped on the generator barrel, oil fill side of machine about 2-3 o'clock. Look here in the red box. Might have to wire wheel paint to see it. 1971-1972ish would have been the last of the output studs on front panel.

Hi Leogl , got some pics of the machine? I have a 73' that has the lead posts on the face plate, and a 74' that has them under the door. Also from 74' they started using the green light oil indicator and the amp gauge on the face plate. Both octagonal generators.

I picked this machine up for parts it was sitting in a barn in pretty bad shape bought it for parts but it has been tampered with a lot has been upgraded has idle board all that { no pics } but it doesnt have a oil pressure light and the welding terminals are on the front. It is pretty rough bought it for parts. Not many sitting around North Dakota for parts

doe's it have a round smooth generator barrel like the one Pipeliner has shown or octagon barrel like this? What serial and code is on the face plate?

Octagon r57 vacuum box gone ser# and code # out in truck forgot to bring them in haven't figured out how to post them yet or would post a couple of recent finds . Recently found shield arc 250 near as can figure 59 model
