    I weld without gloves

Hey, I do stick welding, 100 amps on thick steel plate, without gloves, welding jacket, jeans or that stuff. I do wear a mask and safety glasses. Is this okay?

    Not very smart.
I've burned myself too many times, and now put on a full leather jacket and a welders cap for even the quickest welds.

100 amps isn't enough for "thick steel"..

Your much safer and better off wearing the correct gear, especially if your welding everyday. It its once a month who cares right? I tig welded with out a shirt on about a month ago for like 6 inches of weld if that and couple days later I was super red and pealing like crazy, ill never do that again.i was welding on AC tho.

It's been a very wet year so far, but just now starting to dry up a bit. If you're headed to Sturgis this year, bring plenty of skeeter spray.

Been a few years since I've been out, likely a couple more before I can afford another trip - but I like the riding out there

Prefer Hwy 212 south out of Red Lodge towards Cooke City myself. Or ending the day after coming across from Jackson and sitting in the hot spring baths at Thermopolis. Prettiest was probably coming down through the rain forest and by the glaciers heading into Stewert, B.C.

Someone who deliberately posts bull shlt on a forum to illicit a reaction from its members.

Stuff like this, or really stupid, totally obvious dumb questions, pictures, etc. Some times, they'll play it along for several pages worth of commentary, usually until a mod shuts it down. Some of them are just stupid rubes, screwing around. A good share of them are troublemakers who have been banned under different names in the past, and enjoy stirring up everybody with pics of awful trailer welds, ridiculous ignorance of basic safety procedures, etc.

Most of it is quite obvious. How someone can find the time to jerk off like that is beyond me.

Ignoring stupid a$$ed BS such as this is usually the best action. We generally don't have to do anything, ppl catch on fast. If more of these stupid threads or comments continue to pop up on the site by the same user, we just send them packing.

Two clicks and it's a done deal. If they start spamming up good threads, we tend to act a lot faster than if it's just a couple random threads with stupid stuff in them.

    Hope that explains it
