I'm looking to buy a Miller S-32P Voltage Sensing wire feeder to use with my Bobcat 250. My buddy tells me I will hate it, because it pulses. I would like to get some other opinions or advice. Thanks for any help!

Welcome Aboard, unfortunately this is beyond my expertise.

I am sure several members will have several opinions that they will share with you.

Pulses? Hmm. Our gaged S32-P Super runs like a champ on a Trailblazer 301g with solid wire and flux-core (self shielded). The The "32", essentially a predecessor to the newer BLUE 8/12VS suitcases, will run fine on your Bobcat 250.

Ask your buddy to define "Pulse".

Issues like you describe are common when guys try to run solid wire in CC ( stick) mode. The feeder simply can't change wire speeds fast enough to mimic CV at lower power settings. Run in CV mode it should run just fine with any wire. Since a Bobcat is CC/CV, as long as you have the machine set properly, it should run just fine.

I've never had any issues with my Super S 32P.

Pretty much the same thing. The 12VS has a nicer case than the older S 32P's did, but functionally they should be pretty much the same.
