few questions for ya...
do you want us to post pics here?
send pics to you via e-mail?
action shots?
or are you looking for the mask/helmet/sheild/hood alone?
...zap!
I'm looking for photos of welders in their welding garb.
What does your helmet look like? What do you look like all decked out for safety -- the man from Mars? a robot? a fox? Is your attire fit for the rag bag or is it a status symbol -- the iPod of welding! If you have a hood disguised as a fox, let me see it! Do you wear leather or denim?
Seriously, I'm seeking photos of welders dressed to weld or even simply pictures of their souped-up helmets for an upcoming issue of Welding Design & Fabrication.
Please contact me at: kgilles@penton.com or 216.931.9764.

Do not attempt.
Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.
So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
You can send the pictures to me via email or snail mail and you could post to the web if you'd like others to see your style. Web-posted pictures don't work for publications because those shots end up being around 70 dpi (dots per inch). Publications like WDF need 300 dpi. We can scan photos and create digitized images.
My snail-mail address is: Kimberley Gilles, Penton Media, 1300 E. 9th St., Cleveland, OH 44114.
Any type of picture will work, except X-rated. Action pictures are fun, too.

A CD works great.
Kim, Ill get a photo soon. I come in many differnt shades and symbols. It depends on what IM doing. I have an old jackson fiberglass, fixed lens. I have leathers, but hate wearing them. I prefer cotton welding shirts, but you wear what you need. 7018 and flux core best iwth leathers. 6010 or solid wire great with carhartt cotton. Ill get some shots when I get a chance.

I have plenty of summer here. 98° in the shade. Give me your addy and I will box some up and UPS it to you. Hopefully they won't break it.
Today, I was denim head to toe. Tomorrow...who knows.
My helment is just a rattle can job. I usually change it whenever the work gets slow. The design and color just depends on what kind of paint we happen to have when I get the chance to paint it.
