    Re: Getting a New Identity

Thanks for all the comments guys.

spooled, I'd have to look to see what brand rattle cans the owner brought over to paint with. As I stated earlier, I expected him to show up with his paint gun and an automotive type paint to do the job but he simply went with spray cans.

I forgot to pull the exciter nose cone out of the parts box when we sent the parts out for coating so I sanded it down and shot it contrasting black with one of the leftover cans - which is the extent of my painting capabilities.

Well, she was supposed to go home today but something must have come up. Word is she'll be going up to PA for 4 months to take the place of his back-up unit currently there on the job.

Sorry for the poor photo. The sun was in the wrong place for taking shots at the time.

The guard on the LOCAL/REMOTE switch is to lock it in the LOCAL position where it needs to be in order to use the Weldtron remote he had me install a few months ago. The REMOTE position is for using the Cable's remote wired in 3-1/2 years ago when I first put the machine together.

I move them in/out and around with my 2T engine hoist.

If I have to move them to the yard I load them on my single axle trailer and use my ZT mower to pull it.

Looks really good Duane, owner should be happy once more! Any idea what radiator was used for the chop? Four core?

Thanks. IIRC it's a four core. Cost him $500+ to get re-cored and modified!

Thanks, I need a shorter radiator if the short hood is chopped about 3" I don't want to lose the battery box for sure!

    Re: Getting a New Identity

This one was chopped 5" and the battery box is still original size. You can see the original fan passes across the upper tank and he has never had any overheating problems even out in the desert of New Mexico or down here in SE Texas or SW Louisiana where he lives.

The only time the Murphy water temperature switch gauge had to do its thing was when he had it in the back of his wire's P/U for a short time and started with it up tight against the front of the box. He moved it back 6-8" and all was good from then on.
