An abandoned town? That would make for a wonderful walk-through. Even something "mundane" as floorboards would be quite the haul. There's no telling what you might find in the old midden heaps and such.
Based on first impressions, I am 99% sure I am willing to walk and dig through areas they were unlikely to travel.

psa, you have a fantastic imagination!! The couple you made from the axe head and pliers is absolutely beautiful. Who could have guessed those two items would become a beautiful metal sculpture?

What I am already doing is starting to interfere. The consistent paycheck I receive now is always a nice thing.

Re: Scrap metal art or projects

My friend Bob did a big demo job last year and saved a lot of stuff from going to the scrappers.

This morning he gave me these two pipe caps. I will make a couple of little welding tables out of them. One for him and one for myself.

Grabbed a couple of these flat bars for the hydraulic press…

and a couple of signs for the shop. Safety first, right?

I will need to go back to pick up 3/4” plate as this was pretty much of a load for the Ranger.

All in all a pretty good morning for picking up scrap material for projects.

Oh I forgot to take a pic but there is also another 48” diameter x 2” thick pipe cap and a 4x8 or 10’ sheet of 1” stainless but I would need to have someone pick it up as I no longer have any trucks.

I used to have a 1988 Ford Ranger.

Even with what you are driving, you still don't have a truck.

    Oh great. Three strikes!

    1 hobby welder at best
2 unable to provide any useful knowledge
    3 no truck.

I’m in the same class as the “Rolex Guy”???!

Please put me out of my misery.
