Oh ok but the thread had the bad gateway 504 error and needed another post.

How about my latest CL score? A Rothenberger Collins Classic 22A thread-o-matic for a few bills and only a half hour away! I unloaded it tonight, freed up one of the dies, and gave it a try. It's awesome. It auto chucks and is pretty quick. I looks like it could use new dies on the 1/2-3/4 snap-o-matic but even with chipped teeth it hogged through it and made a fair thread. I need to also clean and inspect the clamp jaws, I may be missing some teeth there, but they are reversible so maybe I'll get lucky. Looking online this package sells for 8 grand! https://www.rothenbergertools.us/36_..._Threader.html

Check the instructional video... it has through die oiling! I have been trolling for a deal on a rigid or similar threading machine but this one is so much better.

I used a rigid pipe threader once when I was trying out a job for HVAC. It made threading pipe easy peasy. Nice threader you got there Wow yeah after watching that video I would be stoked to get that deal as well.

I've alway used Rigid threaders and I have access to a pipe threader when I need one but it's the tri-legged version, making it a real pain to move around. This one looked so different I almost passed on it. I liked that it had a cart so I figured I'd take a look. I about fell over when the guy showed me how it worked. I was sold. I also really like how the oil sump is situated. The Rigid always turn the treading area into a super-fund site. When I came home and down loaded the manual I learned just how sweet a deal it really was.

    Cool video. Great find!

This is the Oster I use for cold twisting up to 5/8" steel square stock.

As I found it. Not nearly as nice as yours LOL

Sold this little DC 175 amp portable welder this morning for my asking price of usd $145. Not exactly a "score " for the buyer but still a pretty good deal.

Dies can be resharpened, I used to do it occasionally in the machine shop, both pipe dies and bolt machine dies, it's best done on a precision tool room grinder that you can control angles but can be done by hand if you're careful.

I was planning on sharpening the un-damaged dies and replacing the chipped ones. Poking around the Oster website it appear I may be able to salvage the damaged dies by removing the chipped teeth provided the damage is limited.

Did $145 US price include the cables? Did the welder run? A good deal just for the nostalgia.

The price included cables, ground clamp, stinger and Tweco connectors.

Ran and welded but the 9 HP Briggs and Stratton required a carb kit.

Another load of tanks from a fellow bell artist. Ed Kidera makes some great bells and steampunk items. Do a quick Google search and will see some of his items. Unfortunately, he has cancer so he is trying to pare down his stash.
In the mix were some wagon wheels and I think one is wrought iron.
The other gear looking things I am told are for planting corn.

Plus my current stack of cylinders.

FYI -- When we talk about wrought iron and wood grain we meant the the metal had a look similar to wood grain, not that the metal had some wood grain screwed to it. Just to be clear.

3hp 1P 120V motor for $25. For an eventual 72x2 belt sander build.

One of those rare cases a three phase motor would have been more desirable.

Cheaper and would work well with a VFD for your belt grinder to achieve variable speed

Someday I'll get 3ph in the shop. For now, I'll use different diameter drive wheels to adjust speed. A pain but all I can do for now.

With a 3 phase motor you hook it up to the VFD which operates on 220v single phase.

A used 2 HP 3 phase motor should be real cheap. A new VFD on eBay is $250 and up. I bought one for under $300 usd.
