Nope as far as I know it is probably still available. I have no idea if it is a good saw or not. Looks old and of good build quality, but i honestly know nothing about it.

Re: The Official Craigslist Score Thread!
That Johnson saw is certainly worth the asking price. Even if you have to replace the motor, tires and guide bearings, it'd be worth it. You know the structure is going to be rock solid, designed to last, so just getting that for a couple bills puts you leagues ahead of the chintzy saws you can buy today for a comparable price. If you replaced all the wearable items on it, I doubt you'd get anywhere close to the price tag for a new Ellis 1600 or similar, which means you're winning!

That is good to know. If I had an extra couple bills itching to burn a hole in my pocket I'd have looked into buying it. I posted the link thinking someone else might be able to score the deal if any good. Link looks like it expired. It might come back online once seller realizes it is expired.

I think mine was a 5x7 King... but I should check, it's been a while. I paid lots, but it really hadn't been used much before I got it. I think it's still running on the original blade.

Make sure you check the pivot bushings between the upper and lower frame. If there is noticeable play there, pass as it will never cut straight unless you want to do a total rebuild of the saw. Those saws were extremely easy to tip over *** well so thoroughly check to make sure nothing is bent or rewelded.

That's cool. Hopefully there are no " leakers" because then you may have to use welding to repair them.🤣

None meet my specification. I want one with spout on the bottom. Mine are always upside down.

Re: The Official Craigslist Score Thread!
The tool box looks VERY similar to one my uncle had. Best I can tell he either bought all his tools at a yard sale or stole them. Most anything he had was old, battered. The box was no exception. He was a millwright & stored dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers in it.
He retired at about 60, divorced his wife & moved 10 miles away from me. He had a clunker van he filled with tools & parked in my back acre. 22 years later he died. Mrs. B was not having that clunker here. I sorted through the contents & scrapped the van.

Re: The Official Craigslist Score Thread!
After all these years...
I didn't realize Ritchie Bros sold smaller stuff. They're a mile down the road. I'm doomed
(And I thought Cigar Bid was bad.)
Searching online for "anvil" and it popped up, they have (4) 200lbrs coming up in couple of weeks. I'm going by next week to take a look and bounce a bearing off of them.
But some of the welding tables - man, if I had the room...

Re: The Official Craigslist Score Thread!
I don't know what the RB auctions are like down there, but up here they tend to draw in a lot of mysterious internet bids (even before all the bidding was done online) that put the prices up to the max, and they like to add in extra charges for both the buyer and seller whenever they can. Read the fine print carefully.
