$1.5 Billion a year in sales.

Prob the number one financier of used heavy equipment in the world.

When I sold my business all the trucks and heavy equipment were assessed, financed, and sold to the new owners by RB. NON auction transaction.

I started with one of those, now it holds all the buffing attachments for the Dremel .

My $0.02 in case you were wondering:

They're fine in naturally humid climates - in the high 60's on average. In dry climates like here it's impossible to keep them in a decent range. The size is a challenge as well - the smaller the container area, the more drastic the fluctuations when cigars are added or removed.
Over the decades I have gradually become more of a fancy man ! The big hugger I have now with the amount of wood in it, the only issue is humidity levels top to bottom. Easily accommodated with a weekly rotation. Some people use the one like yours for dry boxing - to bring "wet" cigars down to a more enjoyable level. I just use an empty cigar box for some of mine - but I'm still experimenting with that.

The transaction fee is 10% here. I'm an auction sniper - I wait until towards the end to see how things are going. If it's still under my self-imposed limit then I'll throw in. RB uses the "add time to give others a chance" method, which bugs me a bunch. A timed auction should be just that. Call it something else if the deadline is a moving target.

If you season it, you could probably make double.

Wipe the inside down with distilled water and put a sponge in it on a plate also soaked with distilled water. Get that meter up to 70% or so and when you list it note that is seasoned and ready to fill.

My old man grumpiness gets annoyed at endless "how do I season my shiny new humidor" on my chat groups. It ain't rocket science and Google has a bazillion sites to tell people how to do it. Somebody has to see the value in being able to score a "ready to go" box.

    Exactly!!!

The other biggie: "Do I take the cellophane off my cigars or leave it on..." (FYI - cellophane is breathable so cigars age just fine in them - and it keeps the wrapper from getting beat up.)

I swear, Canada is like bizarro world...

You get a crapload of oilcans for dirt cheap, and people buy cigar boxes for twice the cost of new ones...

This is what I'm up against down here:

    https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...8342170348442/

    https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...2085016035910/

And this is what boxes like yours go for:

    https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...2578054465047/

    And new ones...

    https://www.cigarsinternational.com/...idors/1800034/

I need people like your buyer to move down here and buy some of my crap!

We are our own alternate universe. Try buying a used DC welder... or even a 500 lb AC 180 amp buzz box for $250 that might not have leads...

The good news is that if it doesn't work, it's probably old enough to be full of copper...

I would be more than happy with 10 acres. 40 would be awesome if wooded with firewood and construction wood species.

I sold my Forney 140MP Welder today for $340. I wasn't using it since my original is working well again.

So guess who's getting a plasma cutter - finally. Yay me!

Did that once, 450 LB Hobart AC hog. Dismantled it, I was disappointed how little copper ribbon was in it. Probably 350 LBS of iron plates making up the transformer body.
