Re: Some everyday railings (and other cool stuff)
That is truly beautiful. Very graceful yet it looks solid and trustworthy. It’s been a long time since I’ve been impressed with something as ordinary as a railing - this is truly not ordinary. I wish I could afford you!
Do not believe everything that you think.

You won't find a higher quality railing anywhere. That is beyond outstanding workmanship and detail!

Re: Some everyday railings (and other cool stuff)
Incredible work. Wow. That handrail looks like it was all one piece when installed - how is that even possible? Or is there a break somewhere I can't see?

It's welded and polished at the splice joints, took a lot of figuring and polishing after hearing up that stainless bar, I polished out before bending it, then put it in the forge and bent it, then had to polish again to get the new mill scale off

Phil that is an impressive testament to your talent, and I would imagine patience. Certainly a work of art to be proud of, and the work of a first class craftsman.

Beautiful work!
After seeing the spiral rail, I went and scrolled thru the entire thread.

Re: Some everyday railings (and other cool stuff)
Phil, I am still curious - is that somehow all one piece installed? I can't see how it would be possible to install it unless it was broken up into smaller sections, but based on your photos, I am not seeing any joints. If that is the case, how the bleep did you get it in there?

Re: Some everyday railings (and other cool stuff)
I can't see installing that with out having joints as well. Correct me if I am wrong here Phil, I circled where I would think the joints could be if there are any.

You missed one, but pretty close
I circled where the joints are, it was tricky to get them lined up
