In need of a tighter fitting hood.

hey so im in need of a hood. i have used mostly auto darks for the longest time but recently bought a miller hood thats a passive shade. kinda grown to like it. but to be honest the hood kind of sucks and is bulky. i get light through the back and it can be hard to see and get in tight spaces. like working on roll cages or inside barges... lol. anyway. looking for cheap too. jackson shadow?

If you don't like bulky then definitely don't get the Jackson Shadow. I have the big view Jackson Shadow and the small view one. They are horrible for tight spots and overhead welding they don't have good coverage in my experience Jackson Safety markets the HLS shadow as "narrow" but i find it to be really big. I hardly ever use mine and currently Im loaning one of them out. Even though Im not a pipe welder I primarily use a FM Pipeliner hood with an Arcone S240-10 and it's all I ever want to use. I highly recommend it if you weld in tight spots.

Get you a fibremetal pipeliner and be done with it. Auto or passive lens, good coverage, and tough as hell
