Looks like I may be busy shifting over threads like the welding table thread as I come across them again. Anyone who has a favorite one in particular, let me know. Just post the link to the thread you think belongs in this section here and one of us can move it. I know there have been plenty here on stock storage, welding tables and so on that would fit well.

I texted Steve and he said he was cool with it. I figured you would be too Doug. It's kinda a no brainer. There's been some excellent shop threads (like Jack Olsens shop) that get buried in other sub sections and then are difficult to find. This will streamline things and hopefully make shop oriented threads easy to access.

Tired of getting stacked 5 gal buckets apart? Just run 3 equal spaced beads of construction glue down the sides and let dry to hardness. Works great for me. When you set it down to dry
drop the handle so it doesn't touuch the glue.

Neat trick.
I doubt it will work when truck driver brings back a stack of empty buckets
nested together with a big ratchet strap over them cranked up trucker tight.

Provides a gap between buckets........ assuming you let the glue dry before stacking.

I just blow them apart with a jet of compressed air. DO NOT stand over them when you do.

And if you don't have compressed air, spray some ether between the buckets, let it soak a second, then light it!

I have used dip tank for small parts.

The dip tank was 15 gallon old spary tank with3 to 7 Gallons of paint. A 5 foot tray for paint for paint to drain back tank after dipping. Bread trays from a bakery was about right size and came with rolling cart about 5 foot tall and had 20 trays. It work great for 30 years and fast for small parts.

LOL we used to do that with starter fluid to re-inflate our tires at the shop.

Bought a Walker Turner drill press yesterday. 1950s maybe. Motor was frozen but Kroil and spinning with my cordless drill got it free. Has had an engine swap and an odd self tensioning pulley.
