New, old guy. Or is it Old, new guy?

Hi, I'm Jim, and I've been reading through this site since early 2014 and I have found a bunch of interesting and informative stuff here. I don't post much, mostly because I don't think that I know enough to post much. However, I'm always on the lookout for good info that will hopefully make me a better welder. I have no "real" training, but I have been learning to weld since I was twelve. I enjoy building almost everything; cars, motorcycles, buggies, benches, cabinets, you name it. I build out of wood sometimes too, but I haven't figured out the best machine to use to weld that stuff yet. I live about ten miles from El Mirage dry lake, so if any of you are out this way, and need some help with anything, hit me up. If you are headed this way, send me a note, and I will send my # so you can call. I mig, tig, mill and turn parts. I guess that I am a motorcycle mechanic by trade, but I've done way more than that, I just find it hard to specialize. Have fun Jim
