A low-rider, space-saver cart for my flux core welder. all 1/8" thick angle steel. Stick welded with 6013 along with a couple of scratch-start TIG welds.

I think it needs a taller handle on the front, but this is a very nice simple design.

Attachment 710941Hope these pics upload here's my tig cart it's made out of 30mm box and 3mm sheet I cut all the sheet with my plasma and added a cable holder a torch holder and tube holders for the tig rods,it took ages to make but I think it turned out well!

I like your wall hanger. does it swing out?

Well not really a welding cart, but a plasma cutter cart. Figured I could get away with posting it here. Made from 1.5" .120 wall tubing and some 18ga expanded metal I had laying around. Not done off any plans, just kinda off the top of my head. Killed my past flap disk so it's not getting painted till I go to home cheapo to get a few more.

I like the way you made the lead hangers.

Here is an Aluminum torch cart I designed and built. It can carry either a propane or acetylene cylinder behind the oxygen cylinder, and it is narrow enough to fit through a standard doorway. It's pretty light weight too. I may start a build thread if anyone is interested in seeing more details.

Added a couple mods to my cart this wknd. Made a pedal holder for my TD 252i, Made some removable holders for my tank storage, and added a third wheel to aide in the weight on the back end and the shortness of my cart so its not popping wheelies as I roll it around. HAHA.
Also made some mods to my Trail Blazer cart as well. I made a removable rack and guard for the welding leads. Also added some better caster's to it as well.

Funny; stared at a pile of DOM scrap that was given to me - and this came out of some dark place in my head..

Thx man. I originally meant to miter the top of them at a 45 too, so they would sit parallel to the tops of the other uprights, I didn't realize I forgot to do that until I already had all the end caps welded and ground down. Oh well, live and learn lol.

Nothing fancy here, but a little different so I thought I'd post. The O/A cart is basic... most imaginative part is probably the John Deere yellow paint (goes well with the green O2 cylinder), the electrical tape wrapped hose for the handle and the plastic tip holder on the back. The cart for my 180C Lincoln is still not painted because I don't know if I'm keeping it or not. I was originally undecided if I was using one short cylinder, 2 short cylinders or 1 tall one. Still not 100% sure but I'm leaning towards a couple of the workbench/table/cart ideas on this post and perhaps 2 short cylinders. You never get stuck with nothing but an empty cylinder that way. Definitely original. I love the detail you put into these carts. I can tell you thought about everything....from looks...to function. Did you make the foot pedal holder on the tig cart? If so...I would like to get a closer view. I need one for my cart.

Did this mod to the cart that came with my tig and plasma. The wheels they had on the front were made so u couldn't turn very well. lucky I had some spare casters. welded the casters on then cut the old wheels and bracket with the saws-all. now I can maneuver it around easy.

Since my chop saw arrived last week I figured it was time to start my welding cart build.
Here is the Makita LC1230, it is amazing how this thing goes through metal.

I still need to put a chain to hold the argon bottle and a door on the lower compartment.
I think I will change the rear wheels with rotating castors. The way it is right now means a lot of maneuvering to place it where I want it.

Sorry for late reply.
The plug arrangement is what we use here in uk and ireland. It is a 13amp 3 pin design, with earth pin at the top.

Love all the carts in this thread! After many years I want to finally get rid of the metal tubes on the side in trade for some plastic tubing for holding the tig filler. I am curious if anyone knows off hand what size sch 40 pvc holds 10 pounds of aluminum?

Can't help you on the sizing but 2" will hold a bunch of most everything. I don't know if you have a color scheme in mind or even care, but I have used black ABS pipe instead of SCH 40 PVC. I think the black ABS looks a lot better than the white PVC 40 and the ABS is really light weight but about the same thickness as PVC 40. I glue the bottom cap on and for the top I use a black rubber cap that would normally be held on with a hose clamp. The cap fits snug so I do away with the hose clamp all together.
