For muscle, tizanidine is good, but, for me methocarbamol is even better. (I get the methocarbamol from Sams Club, 750Mg is dirt cheap if you are a Prime member)
(NOTE,, gotta be careful, LOTS of prescriptions are cheaper at Sams Club WITHOUT using insurance. ,, Most insurance dictates a minimum price the customer must pay,,Prime is cheaper)
Anyways, when I first startled taking methocarbamol, it relieved pain so well,, I thought it was a sleeping pill.
It turned out that I was just so un-rested from pain, when the pain finally went away, the effect was me wanting to catch up on sleep.
After a couple days, I could take the methocarbamol, and not sleep, I was finally caught up.
I get the 750Mg tablets, and only take half,, 750Mg is cheaper than 500Mg,, go figure.
For me, tizanidine is exactly like a sleeping pill,, I ONLY take it when I can not sleep.
My doc HATES that I have two different muscle relaxers,, but, after a few years, he finally trusts me as to how I use them.
(I do not take either EVERY day,,)
So, be careful that the cause of the pain is not changing THAT day,,
different causes of pain can require different types of meds.
For me, muscle relaxers do little for nerve type pain,,
Nothing seems to help my barometric pressure change induced pain,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
