That sucks! I have one site I go to, I believe my youtube account, that I have no idea what my password is anymore. They asked me to change my password so many times I have no idea what it is any more. Every time I have to log onto youtube I have to "reset password". Infuriating!

What is this nonsense. I just reset the password, and just got a notice that I hadn't changed my password in 5 days, and needed to reset it. Five days, what is this??!!!

I dunno if this helps anyone but... this is a little vault program the kids put on my computer that holds usernames and passwords to our health care provider, banks, charge card, ComEd, eBay. Amazon, WW, etc., http://www.accessmanager.co.uk/download-free-version/. It's great for sites you only visit once or twice a year. All you would have to do is remember to use it and keep it updated which... I admittedly didn't do for WW... assumed I'd remember what I picked for a password since I log in a lot.

It's free and I don't recall them grumbling about any junk coming bundled with it or it changing my home page. Things change though so don't count on it not being riddled with tool bars and such.

It happened to me too. I reset it again and no problems. PM me thru FB or email if it boots you back out.

It'll be too bad to miss out on the good stuff, but I'm not doing the password thing again.
I don't think that's going to happen. I think it's merely the default to force the password change. It should be fine now.

It asked me again today to change my password. The reason it gave today: my password was 5 days old. Go figure.

My guess is one of the IT guys forgot to check/uncheck a box when they set up the password change.

    It'll get sorted out.

yeah 1st go around the system let you use your old password again. That might be the reason that the system is forcing another reset. This time it won't let you reuse the password you used before.

5 days does seem to be too short on average for something like this. I'm sure IT will get the issues resolved and straightened out. Down side is that they usually aren't the fastest in the world on things like this, and with the weekend starting tomorrow, they probably won't even start working on the issue until next week some time.

I'd suggest being patient, and hopefully they will get everything worked out again.

Noob has nothing to do with it considering my join date was April and 5 days ago was July... the point is I already had to reset my password, why did I have to do it again after only 5 days.

I personally feel that this site will lose subscribers due to the password bs.

Hey don't sweat it. I know someone who works for the government near me. She is authorized for 7 levels of security in their system. Each level has a different password and must be changed every 30 days. The passwords can not be reused for a year nor can they be too similar to anything you have used in the past year. i.e. cats1, cats2, cats3 etc. is not permitted. And just to make it interesting she's not supposed to write them down anywhere. Maybe that's why government doesn't work too well. All the employees are spending their productive time trying to remember their passwords.

That didn't work for me... said I couldn't reuse a password I had used in the last 365 days. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. I also use a "little fat book"... storing passwords on your computer leaves them open for getting hacked if somebody gets access to your files.
