The form auto-fills our last password before we have to pick another one and then logs us right in. That's definitely helpful!

So for now we gotta reset every 5 days or so. I always check the "remember me" box so I never use the password but once every 5 days and I record it on paper cause I wouldn't remember it anyway. No big deal.

That one made me laugh too. Sorta how I ended up with the personal e-mail address I've got. I screwed around with combinations of my first and last names using dots/dashes/hyphens/numbers/etc. for about an hour trying to set up the new internet service. Too many people with my first and last name using the same ISP so kept running into "username already in use". Husband came home and told me to get off the computer because kids were whiny and hungry. Told him just a few more minutes and went to the bathroom.... came back to try a few more combinations of my name and saw husband slinking away from the computer laughing. Discovered he'd picked a really "choice" username for me which... I've been stuck with ever since.

I'm gonna leave for awhile to wait and see if they get this password fiasco straightened out. It's not like we're trying to hack hill's E-mail, LOL!!

So i just have to remember to reset my password before i leave work on fridays cuz it won't let me do it from my phone.
Ahhh the white problems today
Everyone has a list of passwords they can use.
Open a phone book to any page and start at the top, mark them off as you use them. this should hold you over till they get it straightened out.

There are probably some here that don't have or know what a phone book is.

Having worked in computer technology for maybe 20 years or so, it it getting very old, very quickly. How many Friday nights did I come in off a road trip and have to spend the next 16 hours getting a proposal for a new system out the door? 2 page bid spec with 30 pages of legalese boilerplate from a major corporation that basically granted them rights to your wife and children, plus penalties.

HAL rejected the new password I tried to use today - since that password had already been used within the last 365 day. The good news is that I reused the password anyway, by making everything uppercase.

I find it very strange that the other web sites that use Vertical Scope and had the same data breach only had me reset my password once. I hope Welding Web's IT guy comes back soon and fixes the problem. And yes Mick120, I do have PATIENCE otherwise I'd just say screw it and leave!
