    Re: My Pulling Tractor Project

    Thanks guys for the replies.

Doing any project just takes determination. The skills can be learned as you go, if you would. Reading and thinking is where its at I guess. If you want something bad enough then its possible. Lol. I read and i look at others then i think about what i can do and how it would turn out and if i can except it that way. Thats all i do. My job skills over the years just makes me faster... not better in the end. I dont haft to practice my welding. Haha. Some might need todo that during any project.

With any project is the unknowns. Finding out what you can about them helps you man. The rest, the parts you cant find out about, that is what might make things tough on you. But that can make the project work in the end too. Lol. (Someone coming up with something completely brand new and completely awsome). That i cant say. Thats probably what the risk part is. Besides, we all started out equal. Right? So we're still all equals i think. Lol

As to why???? I just wanted too i guess. This is what i thought i could end up with by following my brains plan it cameup with one day. I actually thought up this while working one day welding pipeline. Yea my mind wasnt on my job. Haha. It was on tractors. The rest i guess i came up with while doing it. Some were cool, some were not. Haha

I like it. Its cool to drve. Its loud and the neightbors hear me easy. But im as easy on it as i can be. All the time. In other words.... i operate it as responsibly as i can. Im not racing it, but im using it. And man its been working out. High flotation to the max and it dont rut up my yard any. Even the fronts. In wet grass,,,,, maybe not as good traction, but if it does spin it dont dig holes. That i can live with.

    Thanks again,

    Re: My Pulling Tractor Project

The tractor still runs good and is still working when I need it to. It seems to like pulling stuff around. Lol. It pulls pretty hard for a lawn mower I think.

It's latest job is pulling a drag on some dirt work I've been doing here at home. I like my tractor man, but it's a tad loud. I might mod the exhaust someday and quiet it down but everybody's telling me to just leave it alone. Haha

    Thanks for looking in guys
    Have a great day

    Re: My Pulling Tractor Project

I mixed and sprayed 175gals six times in 2011 then 3 times in 2012. None since. No fertilizer or lime since 2010. I had to quit the tea cause we couldn't mow it anymore. Lol. We were bogging out everywhere. http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...Tea&highlight=

When I get my dirt work done I plan on a couple batches then. Thanks for asking about it. Man it works. No doubt left in me.

Red was easier on my green... if you know what I mean man. Haha

It's not commercial by any means. Residental then yes.

Yea. I thought it needed a filler between the fenders so that idea came up.

Love this thread -- have seen it several times and each time I'm impressed by your imaginativity (is that a word?). Imagination and creativity, I mean.

You'll enjoy that 650. No more power really than a lawn mower, but the frame and drivetrain to get some work done. I see you ponied up for a new loader on it - very nice AND useful. What brand is it?

    Re: My Pulling Tractor Project

It's a Koyker loaded. Made in SD. Pretty good unit. $2,800 included everything I needed (hoses, fittings, etc) I got it at a dealer in OH closest to me.

This pic is last fall moving trusses for my tractor outbuilding I built. I couldn't make it without the old JD. It is slow but so am i. Haha. The loader and the hoe come off easy and I plan on making roller buggies for them so it's easy to store and roll around.

    Later guys

    Re: My Pulling Tractor Project

Like lifting bundles of shingles up to the roof. This simple skid attachment i threw on there saved my back big time. The JD did the lifting up there, not me going up a ladder carrying these one at a time. 90 lbs each I think.

Man I couldn't make it without my tractors. I could, but it wouldn't be pretty.. Haha

This pic is last fall building my tractor building.
