Foam floor or other mat type at work bench?

Been wanting to replace my floor covering with something say more 'supple' than concrete or what I currently use which is a 3/8" thick 2' wide strip of conveyor belting to keep the feet from getting sore. I can be on my feet working all day on hard surfaces no problem but standing still at the bench and feet and/or knee pain in about an hour. Trouble is of course it needs to be fire proof or at least highly resistant which this belting sure is, but its not really all that much benefit. Anyone else find something that works good for this? Or is there a product avail?

There is some stuff here at our shop that is 1.5" rubber that has 1.5" holes in it in a honeycomb shape. I will take you picture when I get over there. Over the years it has lasted well and for it to be in our shop, I am sure it was free or slightly north of that.

i have a thick rubber mat that runs the length of my bench at work. for the life of me i can't remember where i got it. the tin shop is next door and the tinsmith built wooden duckboards like you see behind bars. these are simply long wooden strips nailed together to form a grid pattern. not as good as rubber but something anyone can hammer together.
