Easy Grind MIG wire worth the cost?

I have been welding some automotive patch panels in some of my cars. The regular MIG wire is tough to grind. I am wondering if anyone has tried the ESAB Easygrind MIG wire. Is it that much better than regular wire?

I would like to give it a try, but I can only find one place online that sells .023" easygrind. It would cost me $80 after shipping to get an 11 pound roll. I can't find any 2 pound spools in the .023 size. I'd hate to spend $80 unless there is a definite and noticeable advantage to the Easygrind.

Yes it is. Burns so smooth. When it first came out it was sooo soft that it would hardly push without birdnesting. Autobody guys were welding frame members with it, so they reformulated to be similar in strentgh to ER70 but grinds better. The element that enhances grinding lets it go into spray easier transfering so smoothly. I use it for tig as well.

My Easygrind spool arrived today. I made a few tack welds on some scrap automotive sheetmetal and it seemed to do a good job (after I remembered to turn the gas on anyway). Looking forward to seeing how my next patch panel turns out.
