Our company has been looking for a good tig welder for awhile now. I know it's a long shot. But I also know it's a small world.
The job is all stainless and alum, 030-.125 thick. All classes. We will certify you per AWS D17.1.
Great pay and benefits.
Please PM me if interested or know of anyone.
Thanks for looking.

Haven't found one in India, Turkey or Malasia to Visa in yet for the chump change you pay, or is the Trump Government giving you trouble conducting business as usual?
Hopefully when you certify attempted to hire a US Citizen the Government guy reads this post.
I would put an add in around the south side of chicago. Hobart kitchen products closed down the plant that they had in Chicago hights quite a while back and they had several good SS tig welder working there at one time. A friend of mine worked there for many years as a tig welder. Hobart moved somewhere in the Carolinas I think.
I’ll check that out. We tryed Lincoln electric in Ohio but no one wants to relocate or drive that far. We even tried a couple of schools in the UP and northern Michigan with local schools of course, noting of anything special.
I grew up in UTICA and they had a great high school program but that’s not longer available. They want you to pay through a college nowadays.

Ya I did the same. I had 2 years of vocational welding when I was in high school. You never hear of anything like that now days. My first job I hired in 2 weeks out of high school was 90% tig welding. I worked there for 15 years. I would love to take you up on a job but Its too late for me now. I am 64 but Im sure I could do the work you have. If I were 20 years younger I would apply . I would have to relocate but michigan is a great area to live. You will find someone.
Here is some of the work we do.

I have seen so many posts and threads by people on here wanting to do primarily tig welding . Here is a great job to get into this type of work and no one is applying? That is sad. In my youth I would have jumped at a job like this. I have no idea of your pay or bennies but you stated you have even been looking at people in school for welding so that tells me a young person with some training and talent could get into this. Where are they? They should be stacked up like cord wood to break into this field.
The stuff I have done in my career this type of work is gravy work. clean conditions , ergonomically friendly fixtures , working in a shop , steady work, not having to be on the road all the time. wow! whats not to like. About the only negative is the location being SE Michigan but it could be far worse .

Same here, but I did have a pretty cool first job too.....thanks to my welding instructor. It’s not the amount of people, we have a ton of people trying out and not working out because it’s a rare breed that they don’t teach in the Vocational colleges anymore. Not a lot of places do these things. Now welding pipe, frames or heavier stuff, their is an endless supply of them. Its the 5% percent of the people that can take off, weld such thin, exotic, material with possessing a sheet metal fab skills. You can’t leave any hammer marks or go back to fix welds up, that MUCH It has be good first time around or your second attempt to fix it, will distort the tight tolerances we have to hold. Most of this you can learn but if you don’t have it......you don’t have it.
I have 26 years total welding experience in tool & die welding, robotics, and now aerospace, 17 of them with this company.
We have painted floors with all the grinding in a separate area to prevent cross contamination. And growing fast, we stared with only 2 people, me being the second in seniority right now and now we are up to 9 total. Flexible hours, start at 5am,6am,7am, it’s up to you. I am currently working 50ish, with lots of vacation time.
If you like to do lots of fishing and watersports, southeast is the place to be. I can keep going all winter with fishing and snowmobiling.

Sounds like a bit of jealousy you have, if you ask me.
Ok buddy, here ya go. I don’t really care about putting it out there. I was just telling people on pm more details on the job.

"Ultimate Hydroforming, Inc. is a privately held woman-owned company.
UHI was founded in 1979 and over the proceeding 36 years has grown from primarily a pure Hydroforming facility to a full service, extremely well diversified, manufacturer of high quality sheet metal components and assemblies."
FRONT as are 90% of privately held woman-owned companys.
How much a head you get for each new victim you drag in?
BTW, Sterling Heights was a nice place in the 70s, today it's a ghetto suburb loosing ground fast. Property values are falling by the hour.
Kindly fold the flaps on your sack of crap, thermoseal and place it in the HazMat dumpster on your way out.
The only thing you think you can push is a wheelbarrow of manure, and you probably tip that half way out of the barn.
I don’t feed trolls.

I better get my .02$ in now - because when zapster
chimes-in the Penalty Clock has started . . .
Compared to the nitty-gritty of fine field black iron welding,
Ultimate Hydroforming Inc. is a Country Club.
To go good work, you have to be physically comfortable,
and have good product/production tooling.
It appears management takes great effort to accommodate
ergonomics, and human factors in your work environ . . .
I enjoy all of your outdoor activities - if you weren't 1975.6 miles away - I'd be
there Monday. It's hard to find employment where I'm not the most fastidious.
Keep us posted on your search . . .
Opus
Will do!
LOL...oh yea I forgot to mention that everyone has a small microwave and a small fridge in their area! And most of important is that all the work cells have dynasty 350 with nice big welding positioners for the big jobs.
They’re a very family oriented Co. With family comes first attitude!!
We get a friend bonus after 90 days but I’m not letting anyone use my name as a reference so don’t worry about that...LOL.
PM me if anyone is interested and i can give you more details.
