Hackers have a way to SCREEN CAPTURE what you see and type. Im getting the same warning and have been for a few weeks.

What I do is copy password using ctrl c from notepad then paste using ctrl v. Copy the password before going on internet. Hope that helps or makes sense.

I been getting that message from firefox on many websights I go to, I think it is more for covering any liability if you get hacked and suffer a catastrophic loss of $$, time or trade secrets and then go to try and recoup it from firefox, they can turn around and state you were warned not to log on as it was an insecure site . just look at the losses from the credit card companies that have been hacked and your personal info now used for identity theft, it is costing them a boat load of money as it was their fault, so firefox is just cutting their liability and heading off any big lawsuit against them..

I'm getting a similar warning but it is because Firefox does not like my outdated revision of Adobe.

Perhaps you're a security threat? Should we be worried?

The technical service department (Smartdave) has been notified and will look into this issue later this afternoon.

Re: Why am I getting a security warning when logging in

I just assumed it was a new "feature" in Firefox. I didn't ever see it until immediately after I updated. It does it on pretty much any site that isn't using ssl. So, pretty much any forum type website. In general, I've never expected any type of forum to be secure. Financial, health, etc websites are another story. I find being told that my libavcodec may be vulnerable or is not supported and should be updated much more annoying.... (on various sites, not welding web).. I think that was fixed with the update though, knock on wood.

Re: Why am I getting a security warning when logging in

I have looked at the issue and it does see to be an error with an outdated adobe plugin. .

As for copy and pasting the password, that is really no more secure as the data is still transmitted in the clear.

What should really be done is to switch WW to https which provides an extra layer of security by encrypting everything in transmission.

New browser standards from chrome browser and others. If the address doesn't start with https you will get the warning. Google search has several hits for explanation.
