When/if I get into the market for a MIG machine, I will definitely be giving this one a strong look. Especially if the Vulcan ProTig 200 I have is still going strong then.

My cousin has been using his (MIGMAX 215) hard around the farm and hasn't had any issues. I originally bought it to try and review and ended up selling it to him because he was in need of a welder. He originally was keeping it at his home garage, but now it basically stays at the farm shop because his brothers have been using it so much at the farm too. It's still going strong. He just ordered a spool gun as well, so it will be interesting to hear how that goes.


It was interesting to see AvE's take on it for sure.

My 211 inverter has been excellent, may ave got a lemmon or had the transformer version. My brother has a 252 and wants to replace it with a 215. We both do mobile and shop work and the 211 has met our needs. We don't do enough heavy and high production work to make a 252 necessary and it sucks for Mobil work. It would be interesting to compare the hf to the 211.

AvE is right on with the torch nozzles. Figure on buying a pack of nozzles every time you buy a pack of tips. That spring wobbly as well. If the torch interface is the same as Lincoln then an upgrade would be welcome. The body shop next door is running the hell out of his and keeps borrowing my nozzles. Of course their way of cleaning the nozzle is to smack the torch on the ground to break out the junk from inside.

I have used mine for a couple of customer's quick repairs.
To speed things up I used synergic setting.
I thought it welded perfect both times.
Very glad I decided to try one. Much better than switching the 350P back over to a whip and steel settings and then change back, all for $20 or so.

$20 turns on my machine. They gotta pay me another $20 to weld the part. But I get where you are coming from. I got 5 migs now all setup for a specific task or alloy.

DAMN! I thought I was doing good by having a machine that does AC/DC TIG and Stick! Not only do I need multi-process but a dedicated alloy machine?? I thought If I got a MiG setup and some welding tips for my O/A Torch I’d be set machine wise! Is there a Costco for welders where I can buy a multipack for pretty cheap?

That's plenty fair IMO
We have been $40 minimum for years.
Then I got this thing (MigMax) and since it is just sitting there 100% ready I can actually do a "quick weld"

So enter the $20 era of my shop
The dudes that learned here and quit (and became competitors) won't know how to handle the pressure!!!
